on a different site someone posted how they love her outfit. my words were this, well it's not as bad as Colin Baker to be fair. but she looks like a little kid in that outfit. in short there have been far far worse outfits.

Well, the special LOOKED like it was going to be a fun episode from the trailer, but... They really had absolutely nothing for David Bradley to do, except walk around being sexist, which I guess was just a set-up for the Doctor's next regeneration. What was he even there for? No purpose, whatsoever. They just wanted to say, Hey, look! The First Doctor! And the crowd goes wild - yea. Just another nothing episode with nothing really happening. The end part was a little emotional, and they resolved the Clara thing, but otherwise, eh. And I guess we'll see how the new Doctor - DOCTOR LADY PERSON! (Crow's Jerry Lewis impression), gets back into the TARDIS or gets rescued or whatever before crashing to Earth. (P.S. - they'd better bring back Jack before Barrowman gets too old to play the part, heh - though I guess he could play a version of Jack who is farther along in the future).

The problem is that it's the Mirror, but there's also the reality that certain well-connected fans (like, say, Ian Levine) are just the type of people to pull petty crap like this. But, frankly, this rumor (called the "omnirumor") is not new, and it generally ignores that there's one episode that will probably never be found: the 7th episode of The Daleks' Master Plan from Hartnell's third season aired on Christmas Day, and, as was the tradition at the BBC back then, had a fourth wall-breaking Christmas greeting. As such, it was never kinescoped in preparation for international resale (which never happened, because the ABC in Australia passed on the story).
So, TL;DR: I'm skeptical, but as always, hopeful.

There's only two ways I can see it. More from overseas. Or someone recorded the episodes on film. There are plenty of audio recordings around. I can see someone recording a home movie of it for a granddaughter who was going overseas for 6 months. They died years ago and they've been sitting in an attic for 50 years. The grandkids buy a projector on e-bay cheap and bring the old movies down to watch them.

There's already plenty of instances of home movies of missing footage, but it's usually quite low quality and only a few seconds at a time. I'd be surprised if anyone managed to do so for any entire episodes that way. (There was an example of someone using an early video recording to tape an episode, but it's one that already exists in the archives.)

I'd be surprised if anyone managed to do so for any entire episodes that way. (There was an example of someone using an early video recording to tape an episode, but it's one that already exists in the archives.) The earliest episodes were quite short. If someone really wanted to, had the money, technical knowledge and desire, it wouldn't have been that difficult. One man who recently died hooked his tv speakers directly into a recording device. His sound recordings were so clear the BBC used them instead of the sound from their master tapes for some of their releases. Record sound separately, then have two cameras side by side. Start recording with one. When the tape is going to run out in 30 seconds or so, start second recorder. Put new film in first recorder. When second recorder is running out of tape, switch back to first, repeat. Then splice it all together later. It's a lot of work but look at the kind of stuff people have done for MST3k. Carefully counting every joke in every episode type stuff comes to mind. The most likely type person who'd do something like that would be someone who retired from the industry, like a film editor. They would have the knowledge and equipment to do it. If they retired in the late 50's, they could have died before the tapes were destroyed. The question would be, does the film still exist? Even fairly poor quality can be digitally enhanced. It's a long shot but it's not something that is totally impossible.

www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-29722866Here's a real world example. Graham Chapman and John Cleese had a tv show before Monty Python's. All known copies were lost. In 2014, people were going through the belongings of Sir David Frost, who was an executive producer on the show and found two reels of 16mm film that contained 2 episodes of the show. He had made the recordings by recording a television screen airing the episodes. The show was aired in 1967. I don't think it's impossible that someone will find some episodes of Doctor Who episodes that way. Doctor Who is a cult show and cult shows fans can be fanatic.

My sister went to China for two years, and missed Peter Capaldi's first season. Now she's been back for about two years, and I think she's just about to get started.
The good news is that I get to see The Robot of Sherwood episode again when she starts watching a library DVD with people.

It's rumored that John Barrowman and Eve Miles will return as Capt. Jack Harkness and Gwen! Yea! I hope that's true. Edit: Maybe not really a "spoiler" but I didn't know if they were going to actually announce it, or if it was going to be revealed in one of the actual episodes, so I didn't want to give anything away for someone just watching the show and not paying attention to online chatter. Edit: Well, I guess THAT little rumor wasn't true.

Almost time. Here's hoping it's a damn site better than the writing of the last couple of seasons. Though, to be fair, I was watching some older episodes because they are having marathons on BBC America, and, as much as I loved David Tennant as The Doctor, some of those storylines were STUPID AF.

Boring, do nothing episode. They are running out of ideas. Hope they came up with better ones as the season goes on. I liked the first outfit The Doctor had on better than the one she ended up with.
What the hell did she build that sonic screw driver with? Spare parts? How could it possibly work? What about all the data that was stored in the other one? Maybe she'll get that one back when she finds the Tardis.
They were so worried about that guy that the hunter alien was going to collect as a trophy, they didn't give two sh*ts about the guy the alien ACTUALLY KILLED before going up to get him. They showed only slightly more emotion for the first guy that was ACTUALLY KILLED. (The one who was looking for his sister). I mean, I know all the other Doctors were unable to save everyone and lives were lost (sometimes on a grand scale), but, not a great first showing, Doc.
On a more positive note, Jodie Whittaker does a decent job with the role.

This season pretty much sucks so far. The stories are stupid, the messages heavy-handed. Jodie is okay as The Doctor, but the writing sucks, so not much she can do there. And all she does basically is point her (home-made out of silverware with no way all that data could be in there) sonic screwdriver and she just knows everything that's going on after a second.
The well is dry my friends.
Edit: Also, she's not really fully The Doctor yet, she still seems like a fish out of water and there are only 3 more episodes to the season. She'd better get her mojo back before that, and be a little more confident or what was this season even for?

I hope the New Year's episode is decent, because that was an anticlimactic season finale. As John Crichton from Farscape would say, "I hate god-like aliens." Those two beings were just throw away plot conveniences. (If one could call that a plot). They had that much power and just listened to that second rate alien for 3000 years? What even was that?
