It was awesome seeing Trace, Joel & Josh on TV again, and they were hilarious... and it will no doubt be good exposure for CT!

Anyone have a link to the full review of MST3K Olbermann says he wrote in 1990?

Whew! I got through it I've never cared for him (being somewhat conservative), but as far as interviews go, this one was pretty good. I liked the questions he asked, and the fact that he actually let the guys answer him. They made me laugh, still look good, and were awesome as usual.

Over on Satellite News, a commenter posted the following:
<<I actually thought that Olbermann skillfully avoided the obvious questions about Joel leaving the show, the obvious bad blood between the CT crew and the Rifftrax guys (sorry, but Kevin Murphy sort of tipped his hand there with some of his comments), and most importantly that J. Elvis was only Tom Servo for 1 cable season.>>
What Kevin Murphy comments is he referring to? Did I miss something?

Also, why was Olbermann expected to ask 'obvious' questions that have been covered a million times already? I never got the impression he was tiptoeing around anything. They only had eight minutes, after all, and it seemed like the focus was on promoting the live show, not dredging up the past.

i haven't watched it yet, but why didn't mary jo and frank join them? Solgroupie, Frank and Mary Jo were there, but the Producer of the show felt 5 people were too much, so they watched from the sidelines. RAD

thanks, rad. but unless i'm mistaken, mary jo and frank aren't even mentioned as being a part of CT. olberman even makes a comment about "three guys making fun of the movie." at first i thought he might have been referring to mst3k, but he wasn't. this is bugging me.

I'm guessing Keith is harkening back to the MST days when at one time it was Joel, Trace and Josh. Perhaps it was just easier for him to wrap his head around the CT idea by keeping it in those terms.

At least they ran a clip from the live "East Meets Watts" DVD that SHOWED there are 5 riffers, even if it kinds sucks that Frank and MJ didn't get a shout-out. Got to hear some actual riffing from them, anyway.

Maybe what he said in the Laserblast entry at Satellite News: Not saying that's actually a jab at them, but I guess it could be taken that way. (Also, this is my first post. Hello!)

Welcome, senoritagamera! And I guess I do remember reading that quote, but I guess I didn't take it as a direct insult to any of the MST3K alumni, although now that you mention it maybe it was.

According to Satellite News, the Titans' appearance on Countdown precipitated a server crash on the CT website! I take that as a good sign! All of us die-hard MST3K fans instantly jumped on board the Cinematic Titanic. But there have to be a few million people out there who were casual MST3K viewers who may not have been aware of CT. I'm a huge liberal but I would readily admit that Keith Olbermann can be over-the-top. (As far as MSNBC goes, Rachel Maddow is my personal favorite.) But I'm glad that the MST3K folks generally shy away from most political topics. I think J. Elvis pointed this out during the interview last night. And I also seem to recall that Kevin Murphy said something similar in an interview on one of the recent MST3K DVDs. Kevin said that they keep away from politics and just "make with the funny." And being a liberal doesn't make me like Mike Nelson any less since he is known to be conservative. A well-read and informed conservative, I might add, which is always a good thing! The occasional rare riff at the expense of well-known liberals and conservatives can always illicit a good laugh. This is because all of the MST3K alumni are so good at pulling it off. They always move on, keep the show entertaining, and just "make with the funny." Well said, when it comes to politics i'm pretty conservative but I do enjoy it when both sides get made fun off. I'm glad they made that decision to not get too political, just bring us the funny and enjoy it. I know Frank and a few others from the show lean to the left when it comes to politics, but I dont hold that against them in any way. They are very funny people and I enjoy their work. I used to like Olbermann when he was at ESPN, but ever since he started doing Countdown to express his liberal viewpoint I have not been fond of him at all, not because he's liberal but due to the fact he can get so over the top and ridiculous. It's nice to hear that other liberals are not fond of his stichk either. Anyway, despite not being a fan of the him or the show I watched the CT interview he did on YouTube and enojyed it He actually asked some good questions of Joel, Trace and J Elivis. Being a MST3K fan is at least one redeaming quality of Olbermann's
