Anyone a fan of this show? It reminds of another show. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Why is this show not on DVD? Why was I not able to find a thread on this on the search engine? Am I just a bad looker? Am I about to be banned for starting this thread? Why is this show not on DVD? Why has ESPN not been assassinated for not releasing this on DVD yet? Playmakers got a quick DVD release, but no love for Cheap Seats? Cheap Seats is almost as funny as Playmakers, so why no DVD release? What is Ron Parker doing these days? What is your favorite episode? Why is this show not on DVD yet? Why is there only 387 people who have signed this petition? www.petitionspot.com/petitions/CheapSeatsDVDIf you’ve never seen this show, you need to click on this link immediately- www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPz-1qlE430

There are a number of episodes from season 1 on iTunes. A DVD set has been in the works for a long time, according to the Sklar's themselves. I can only assume rights issues are holding things up.
Favorite episode is probably the women's college bowling one. Though some of the wrestling ones would give it a strong challenge.

That may be the funniest thing Ed Helms has ever done. My favorite episode is probably the putt putt contest for adults. Very tough choice in picking a fav. One of the spelling bees, probably the one you posted is what first got me into the show. Too bad the women bowling isn't on youtube. I need to see that one day.

I'm pretty sure Skyronitor is a big fan of this show, if I'm recalling correctly.
I myself, only watched the one where Mike, Kevin, and Bill cameoed. I loved the MST stuff, and the rest was a decent way to kill 30 minutes. Could never work up any desire to check it out a second time, though.

A friend and I collected just about every episode on DVD, including the original hour long ones. I recall we're only missing maybe two of the thirty minute ones. I'm pretty sure it has been discussed a few times here.

I know I've heard of CheapSeats on this Board, sometime, somewhere.
David Cross is one of my favorite performers, that's why I have all the Mr. Show DVDs.

There are a couple of clips from that episode out there, their two rap tributes to bowler Kelly Rapp. Highlighted by Randy's hilarious miss-spelling of CD. You do have to be a sports fan (and watch ESPN) to get most of the references (Paul LoDuca, Kelly Tripuka, Rece Davis, ect), though.

Thanks for the clips. I agree you do have to be a sports fan to be a fan of the show, unlike MST3K where you have to be a fan of, well, everything. I'm probably one of the few people that got the Mark Eaton joke. I can't remember what MST3K episode that was.

She's a big fan of the Sklar Bros as commedians, though. But she doesn't laugh at as many of their riffs as I do. We were just watching the ICW Wrestling ep from season 4, where they do a bit on the '82 Brewers because one of the guys kinda llooks like Gorman Thomas. That's the kind of thing that gets a big laugh from me, but nary a peep from her. That episode is a GREAT one too, if you can find it. It's got two songs (one another OK rap, one an hilarious School House Rock parody) and a great Cheapies. .

The only ones I've seen are the wrestling ones that have shown up on the various wrestling torrent trackers out there. The Fight Network up here actually shows some of the Einhorn IWA unSklared, albeit not the same episodes, yet I still find myself riffing the openings. BTW, if you've seen the Mid South wrestling one, and marvelledat the amazing attire of Boyd Pierce, rest assured that the blue suit was one of his more sedate ones. img172.imageshack.us/img172/4637/boydpiercecardsuit2mf5.jpg[/img]

I had no idea that they were such MSTies, but it makes sense once you realize what Cheap Seats is.
