Here's one for sky I hope the Titans can get the same response this week. But wow, Vick was just... wow.

So I'm watching the end of the Jets-Texans game right now, and here's what I can't figure out: Are the Jets the luckiest team ever or are the Texans the unluckiest team ever?
The Texans lost last week on a Hail Mary and now on an against-all-odds drive with no time outs? Yikes.
As for the Jets, this makes at least 4 wins that came on pure luck. They beat the Broncos on a phantom pass interference call. The Browns on a crazy fumble when they were in field goal range. And the Lions on a bad third down pass call when the Lions could have run out the clock. There is no reason the Jets should be considered one of the best teams, but they'll get all the press this week. I, for one, am looking forward to the first round beatdown they'll get in the playoffs.

I'm with Atari on the Jets. I think they're more lucky than good. But I do think they are good, just not as good as they, and many others, said they were before the season began in addition to the overrating still going on. That said, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
Is Brett Favre finally done? Who cares, nice game Pack.
No fourth and 2 this year.

I for one can't see Childress ending the season as the Vikings coach, I *can* see Brett doing another melodramatic "I'm retiring.....le sob!" routine.

I'm actually ambivalent about the Jets. I just think there's not much to brag about when you barely squeaked by the Lions, Browns, and Broncos by sheer luck. But I guess a win is a win. I feel bad for the Texans, though.

Jets are exciting, they let the Texans come back and then put together a beautiful drive at the end. Fun game. The Eagles had a nice comeback... but again, like the Jets, it never should have come to that. 2 dropped passes in the end zone, WTH? Big Ben punched in the face... yeah I can get behind that

I feel bad for the Texans, though. Even moreso when they played a really banged up GB team at home and got shut out. Sanchez is lighting up really poor secondaries.

As a Patriots fan, I can only say...I thought the Jets were better. I still think they're better than last night - my prediction was a close game the Pats pulled out in the fourth quarter - but that was ugly.
Will Leslie Frazier, mercifully, pull the plug on Favre? TJack looked OK but it was the Bills.
I remain unsold on Cutler and the Bears.
McDaniels bites the dust, who's surprised? Not that Shanahan is doing cartwheels in Washington, but one has to wonder...
KC, could it be?
Atlanta looks superb.
Nice season so far.

I still think they're better than last night - my prediction was a close game the Pats pulled out in the fourth quarter - but that was ugly. Even though I'm no Pats fan, I loved it. I'm not a fan of how the media plays up both New York teams even when they're mediocre, but this year's been excruciating. I can't possibly get enough enjoyment of the Jets crashing and burning. Speaking of media fallout, I can't imagine the nuclear reaction that would occur in the media if Favre's streak ended because he got a DNP-coach's decision. There'd be no point in watching a news/entertainment program about football for the rest of the season. That said, the Bills aren't as bad as they might seem. In fact, applying my equation* about darkhorse teams for next year, the Bills are looking pretty good. *- That is, look at how many of their losses were by one score or less, then turn their winning percentage in those games to 50% and see what their record would be. It's a fair indicator of which teams are barely lacking and which teams are truly putrid, and which losing teams are likely to make a good run next season.

I don't pay attention to the media (no pregame, no radio, no sport talk media). I just watch the game and root for who I like. So I can like the Jets or Brett Favre free and clear.
I'd like Favre to get to 300, but if it's not to be, it's not to be. I was watching some old Packer games when he was at his peak. Man was he a kick to watch. Yes, he frustrated me to no end (lived by the sword, and sometimes we died by the sword) but he was like a kid out there and he made it fun to be a Packer Backer (plus he helped get us a ring... for that I will always be grateful). But these days, he looks very old and tired. Once in a while you'll see a spark, but overall... I think it's time for a much deserved rest.

What annoyed me to no end was the several jerkish Patriots fans around my neighborhood who delighted in telling me "Ho man, your Jets sucked on Monday! Patriots rule! LOLZ!"
Now, these are not normal Patriots fans who have *always* been Patriots fans who stuck by the them through bad times, those fans I don't mind. These are the bandwagon fans who suddenly jumped aboard when the Pats started to do really well...*those* Patriot fans I'm not terribly fond of.
