I finished Season 1. One bad thing about watching this show - I can never watch just one episode. I have to do little marathons.
Farscape quote of the day:
RYGEL: "You're not joking? I can have all your possessions?"
CRICHTON: "If I die, and you don't, yeah, have at it."
RYGEL: "Why?"
CRICHTON: "Well, you're a material kinda guy, Rygel - have some material."
RYGEL: "What does that mean?"
CRICHTON: "It means, Sparky, that you are a soulless bastard."
RYGEL: "I am NOT."
CRICHTON: "Hey, who knows, maybe we'll all die and you can have all our stuff."
RYGEL: "That's not fair..."
CRICHTON: "Sparky, Spanky, Fluffy, Buckwheat the Sixteenth - You tried to sell us out."
RYGEL: "But I didn't, did I?"
CRICHTON: "They weren't buying, were they?"
RYGEL: "No. And I became convinced that after I turned you in, I would be next."
CRICHTON: "Oh. Now how does that taste in your mouth?"
RYGEL: "Look, I know I can be selfish but - given a chance, I can usually..."
CRICHTON: "Do what? Do the right thing?"
RYGEL: "Yes."
CRICHTON: "Rygel - I figure the right thing starts at the beginning of the day - not after you've been caught."
"Family Ties" - another of my favorite episodes.

^ That's when the show really took off and became epic, the last few shows of season one. Didn't hurt that Scorpi showed up then, either.

Farscape quote of the day:
(When they're wondering if Moya can land on the surface of a planet)
CRICHTON: "Well, if she can't, she can't - we can stick our heads between our legs and kiss our asses goodbye." (After strange looks from the others) *shrugs* "It's a saying."
"I, E.T."

I just finished watching "Picture If You Will." (Season 2). I liked about 99% of the episodes, but I didn't really like the character of Maldis (he was also in Season 1's "That Old Black Magic").
I don't like when they make characters TOO omnipotent.
Then you wonder - if Zhaan can handle such a being as this, why was she not more effective against Scorpius?
(There's actually a pretty good fan site for this show - Terra Firma, that I've lurked on a few times, there's just so many hours in a day, I just don't feel like reading a gazillion more threads to catch up, that's why I just put a few things on here for any like minded folk. I'm used to this site. Maybe someday I'll join the other one, but...ugh. There's just too much to read).

I didn't really like the character of Maldis I liked his second episode better than his first, but barely. Overall I didn't like him either. Another villain I never cared for was Durka, but all his episodes were good to great, I thought.

They never really answered the question of whether it was Chiana or Durka who killed Salis (sp?). They kind of left that one up to interpretation. Durka acted surprised when he heard the news, but he could have been, well, just acting. Though that seemed to be the go-ahead for him to start acting all evil again, so maybe it was Chiana.
Finished "Dream a Little Dream". (Ja Rhuemann!) I didn't like this ep as much as others, but it had it's funny moments, namely Rygel and Chiana trying to come up with a defense for Zhaan's trial without lying.
This one was actually going to be the first ep of Season 2, they weren't going to start with Aeryn, D'Argo and Crichton, they were going to leave the audience wondering what happened to them, but they decided to go with "Mind the Baby" instead, and start out the season the way they left off the last one.
So for "Dream a Little Dream", they added the sequence of Zhaan and Crichton stuck in the transport pod for a while and Zhaan telling Crichton what had happened on Litigara. (So when they mention it in "Mind the Baby" the audience really didn't know what the frell they were talking about yet).
Farscape quote of the day:
"We haven't lied YET - of course, the trial's only been on for a few microts." - Rygel.

Finished "Dream a Little Dream". (Ja Rhuemann!) I didn't like this ep as much as others, but it had it's funny moments, One of my least favorites from the show's run, but I love the scene where Zhaan's in a cell and she sees Crichton, D'argo, and Aeryn come striding down the corridor to save her. One of my favorite moments of the show is when she realizes they aren't really there and starts crying.

She really did kind of lose it, didn't she? I liked her better when she was a bit more sure of herself and badass.
Farscape quote of the day: (Anyone else feel free to add a quote if you think of any):
B'SOGG: "Chiana, you're a thief and a tralk - you're not a killer."
CHIANA: "I'm evolving as a...as an individual."
"Home on the Remains".

I watched "Out Of Their Minds" which is another good episode, when everyone switches bodies. They did a good job of acting like each other (except for the accents). It seems that Australian and British actors can do American accents better than American actors can do either of those accents. Though, none of them quite hit it on this episode. I thought Ben Browder did a good Rygel.
Also watched "My Three Crichtons". I didn't really care for this episode, it was a lot of nothing. Not much happens in this ep, it's just basically, "would you sacrifice yourself for your friends" kind of thing. Eh.
Also watched "Look at the Princess" which is a great 3 part ep. Crichton's and Aeryn's kiss at the end when she wants to see if they'd be "compatible" is just too cute. They really have great chemistry together. Just the way they look at each other.
It's pretty cool that they had Ben Browder's real life wife, Francesca Buller, play at least one character in each season. M'Lea (sp?) in Season 1 in "Bone to be Wild", Ro'na in Season 2 in "Look at the Princess", Raxil in Season 3 in "Scratch 'n' Sniff" and the Scarran War Minister Akna (?) in a few episodes in Season 4 and in "PeaceKeeper Wars".
Farscape quote of the day:
BRACA: "Stop - or I will shoot you."
CRICHTON: "Really? You PROMISE?"
Bonus quote:
BRACA: "You're insane!"
CRICHTON: "You just figure that out? I thought that was common knowledge!"
"Look at the Princess" Part II
(Never get off the boat, man!)

It seems that Australian and British actors can do American accents better than American actors can do either of those accents. Ben Browder is the only American, and I think he made an excellent Peacekeeper, a good Aeryn, and a Hilarious Rygel. Far and away the worst accent was Rygel trying to sound American; it cracks me up when he's trying to sound like Crichton talking to himself, you can tell how hard he's working at it. I like My Three Crichtons alright, myself. Especially Chiana's part in it. Browder's wife is amazing in each one of those completely different roles you mentioned. Nepotism doesn't get much better. (I just IMDB'd her and found out she was Chaplin's wife in the 1992 biography with Robert Downey Jr. -- maybe I'll be able to get solgroupie hooked on the show because of that.)

Watched "Beware of Dog" and "Won't Get Fooled Again".
BoD was cute, with that stupid little critter peeing on D'Argo and humping Aeryn's leg. It was funny when they injected the Vork with the translator microbes to see if it could understand them when they were trying to get it to flush out the parasite on the ship, Aeryn asks the Vork, "Are YOU the parasite?" And Chrichton goes, "NO, the answer is 'no' to that, who's going to say yes to that question?" It sure was a goofy looking little thing.
This is when Crichton and Aeryn really start working on the same page. I like how they were so at odds at the beginning of the series, then, as they got closer, they started having them so in sync with each other, coming up with the same idea, or doing the same actions (like drawing their pulse pistols at the same time) or saying the same line together ("Sorry about the mess").
It's also interesting how everyone on Moya thinks Crichton is a screw up and is kind of useless, but when things really hit the fan they kind of look to him as a leader and follow his plans and all that. They seem to appreciate the fact that he's a fish out of water, but adapts to situations and comes up with stuff on the fly to save all their asses.
Browder was great in "Won't Get Fooled Again", where it seems he's back on Earth - AGAIN. This ep was just - let's see how much mental torture (torcha!!) we can pile on Crichton. It just kept getting crazier and darker as the ep went on. I liked how his dad and his friend, DK, played everything straight when Crichton realizes the ridiculousness of everything happening around him. Like how Gary Ragel just HAPPENS to have tenticles (because it's D'Argo), and that Crichton's psych evaluation happens to be performed by a shrink who's blue (Zhaan). Nobody else sees the absurdity of it all, and Crichton is just waiting for the punch line of who is messing with his head.
It's really funny when Rygel shows up as an IASA big shot.
(When Crichton blows him off and leaves the office): DK: "The guy gives us a second chance and you throw it back in his face."
CRICHTON: "The GUY? The guy...the 'guy' is a two foot green slug on a golf cart!"
JACK: (Perfectly straight) "What does a man's disability have to do with anything?"
That's my quote for the day, obviously.
That made me laugh when I first saw it.

Watched "The Locket" - not one of my faves. (What, does Crichton get more "southern" when he ages?).
Also watched "The Ugly Truth". It was fun to see the different characters' takes on the same incident. This one I liked.
Farscape quote of the day:
D'ARGO: "I thought I would live much longer."
AERYN: "I never thought I'd live THIS long."
"Family Ties".

Took a break from this for a while. Just fininished Season 2. Um...in the 3 part "Liars, Guns and Money" the "plan" (there was always a plan gone horribly wrong on this show ), was to get some help from past characters to rob the Shadow Depository and rescue D'Argo's son, Jothee. Okay - hold the phone. (Or the clamshell). THIS one took a little suspension of disbelief. Yes, okay, Moya was tracking her movements, sure that makes sense. But she's been starbursting all over the flippin' galaxy and it takes them a couple of solar DAYS to find these people again?!! Flying in nothing but Crichton's module, Aeryn's Prowler, and Moya's transport pods?!!! Oh, I don't THINK so! Oh, well. You gotta stretch the rules a bit on a show for time's sake. (But sheesh!) Good episodes, none the less. Good action, all around. Enjoyed the fact that they get some of their old foes to help them, for currency initially, but then the others got on board and were convinced it was the right way to go (except the bloody pirates). And Crichton's downward spiral is something to watch, thought Browder did a good job with this. And it all culminates in the finale, "Die Me, Dichotomy". Nice cliffhanger to hold viewers till the next season. Aeryn is dead, Crichton's brain is frelled, he can't speak, the Diagnosan seems doomed, looks like Scorpy has the wormhole knowledge from the chip that was in Crichton's head, D'Argo looks like he's losing Chiana to his son, Moya's injured. Tune in, kids! Farscape Quote of the Day: "Farewell, my friends. Thanks for teaching me how to kill again." Bekhesh - "Liars, Guns and Money III: Plan B".

Watched the first four eps of Season 3 - "Season of Death", "Suns and Lovers", "Self Inflicted Wounds" pts 1 & 2 - "Could'a, Would'a, Should'a" and "Wait for the Wheel." All good stuff. Ah, Zhaan. Paul Goddard is great as Stark. Just a tad insane. And we get to see a nuttier side of Scorpy as the clone, Harvey, in Crichton's head. They play off each other well. Enter Jool. FSQOTD: "Yes, I'm an expert on dying. I'm just not an expert on YOU dying." Stark to Zhaan, "Suns and Lovers".

FSQOTD:
CRICHTON: "Hey - D'Argo - how come I'm not afraid?" D'ARGO: "Fear accompanies the possibility of death. Calm shepherds it's certainty." CRICHTON: "I love hangin' with you, man."
