I didn't see this started here, but it's something that's been in the news lately as well as on my mind. College football is one of the few sports I actually watch and get into, and so this is a little frustrating to me.
From what I understand, the Big 12 is now breaking into different groups, like the Pack 16 and the Big 10.
So now I'm confused. Can someone explain to me how the conferences and what not are going to work out now that the Big 12 isn't going to be around? Cause I really enjoy watching Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado all compete with each other.
(Mods, if this is the wrong place for this thread, feel free to move it.)

The way I understand it, and opinions seem to be changing every few hours because of how fast this has all gone down, is that the Pac-10 is going to try for several of the Texas schools, as well. Nebraska sounds like they're jumping ship to the Big Ten. Kansas and Kansas State seem to be the odd ones out in this case - they seem to have the most at stake in the Big 12 remaining viable.
Most everyone seems to think the Big 12 is done as a conference, and that seems very likely. I doubt Missouri would receive an invitation from the Pac-10. I also kind of doubt Kansas or Kansas State would either, but who knows. The Big 12 will hinge on what the Texas schools decide for themselves. If they stay, they could form a new conference. If they bolt for the Pac-10, it's over for sure.
Incidentally, I always felt Nebraska was a better fit for the Big Ten in football, anyway. Ever since the Big 8 became the Big 12 it screwed up their yearly rivalry game with Oklahoma, and nearly every conference championship game was held in Texas, much to the consternation of other teams in the conference.
Still, didn't think it would all come apart this quickly.
So, as you can tell, I certainly don't have any clear picture of what's going to happen. It will definitely change the landscape of college football, though.

Texas A&M is flirting with the SEC, as well. The Pac-10 is trying to also take the 3 Texas schools and the 2 Oklahoma schools from the Big-12 - probably putting them in a division with Arizona and Arizona St.
I've also heard "Texas to the Big 10" rumors as well.
