Saw the encore last night with the wife. What a blast! Watching with a theater full of people just amps up the fun and laughter. Can't wait for the Halloween show!

I remember when the AMC theater in Riverside had posters for both shows last year. This year though they didn't play it, so I had to travel out to Temecula to see it. There was no poster there. Not many people were in the theater, but the ones that were seemed to have a blast. It was fun. I can't wait for the DVD release.

And now for some bitching. This isn't about the guys, but about the theater, Pacific Place AMC! During the final moments of the film, the picture cut out, leaving perfect audio and a black screen.( Movies on the radio, a short lived fad.) They restored it but only after several choice riffs were lost. Pah to you, Pacific Place! Get it in gear! The same thing happened at the theater I went to in Ct. (I went to the encore show.) So maybe that was a problem with the film. But where I went, they fixed it, rewound the film and played it back from the point where it conked out originally, so that was good. I also noticed a lack of advertising. No posters, no notice anywhere that it was playing; I had to ask if it was actually going on. Thank goodness it was - I don't think they did the encore for the Plan 9 one. The Grass short was really WTF. Can't believe someone actually took the time to make a short film about WHAT TO DO WITH GRASS. Uh -- you mow it, that's about it, Bubba. Though, I was looking at some ornamental grass in my yard. I was thinking about making a rubbing and hanging it on my wall - NOT! That short and the dry cleaning ones were funny. The cartoon was kind of so-so. (Did they ever make a cartoon in the 30's where the animals aren't hopped up on goofballs and bouncing around?) Movie was funny, I enjoyed it. There weren't any really stand out side-splitting, hilarious moments, but I was pretty much laughing steadily through the whole thing. The rest of the audience enjoyed it, too. Not a lot of people, but I'm guessing there was more on the first night. (PS: Liked the "Reefer Boy" or whatever it was called song by the Rifftones).
