Well, I've certainly been known to gallivant, on occasion. But as for retiring in Florida, no thanks. I was born here and I'm trying to get the hell out, not think I might have to die here as well! :-)

Cupcake, on the other hand, about a year ago, a friend of mine moved into his partner's house and sold his one-bedroom condo (a block from us) and he said it sold REALLY FAST! (And he didn't have a view!)
One of the main problems (I have seen this at work, by the way) is that people are now having trouble getting a loan. They've made it almost impossible with the paper work they are demanding, including tax records for the past 5 years. It's the mortgage companies and banks holding things up. (So, they made their money, screwed us as far as the economy goes, and now won't help at all.)
