It just so happens that I was having a good Bugs Bunny themed day. I picked up the two new Looney Tunes DVDs, one release for Daffy and one for Bugs (15 cartoons on each) and then I got home and went for a nice jog. After taking a nice shower and having dinner I watch about half of the Bugs Bunny disc. Wonderful stuff. Then I go on the internet and.... www.deadline.com/2010/08/warner-bros-next-movie-star-bugs-bunny/Like a swift kick in the pants.

......What's that sound? ....That would be the sound of part of my childhood being raped by the movie industry.

I took this at first as the Roger Rabbit/Space Jam/etc type film, live-action mixed with animation, and wasn't particularly upset. That would likely be lame, but not especially horrifying. Then the true nature of the idea sunk in, and I'm now cowering in my closet.

Ouch. Didn't they learn their lesson with Space Jam and Back in Action? It's a horrible idea. And why does it need to be live-action? Does it mean he'll be CG?
Sigh...oh, Hollywood.

Look... Disney did good with the Live Action/Animated films like "Roger Rabbit", "Mary Poppins", and "Three Caballeros". (And as you can see with my avatar...that's one of the Three Caballeros that isn't named Donald Duck)! "Space Jam" was okay, and IMO...MJ is the only one that Should've ALWAYS wore #23...not (yes, I STILL hold a grudge against him)! But the Live Action/Animation thing went a little overboard after that film came out!
