One of the many critics of Rock Music, Mitch Miller had a sing-along show which lasted until 1965.
And what did he do the other 45 years? Looks like he didn't want to be 100, since he died at the age of 99.

I remember him very well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_MillerIf I am not mistaken, he was the resident historian at Columbia records. His name was on the box sets of Doris Day's complete collection that Bear Family Records put out in the 80s. I include the link above because you apparently didn't bother to research this yourself.

In the movie "Piranha 3-D, Richard Dreyfuss is singing along with Mitch and his gang with the song "Show Me The Way To Go Home". Recognized it right away.
