Stephen J. Cannell who created such iconic TV shows as the Rockford Files, The A-Team, and 21 Jump Street died at age 69 of complications from Melanoma. Cannell who overcame dyslexia created or co-created more 40 shows, wrote 450 TV scripts and 16 novels. Really talented guy. He will be missed. I am willing to bet a lot of people don't immediately recognize his name, but they would recognize this:

I remember that sign-off as well. And hey, I was just the right age for The A-Team. Sorry to hear of his passing.

In addition to producing one of my favorite shows as a teenager "The Rockford Files" Stephen J. Cannell also produced the great series "Wiseguy" in the late 80's-Early 90's. Especially with the "Mel Profit" episode arc. Where a young and unknown Kevin Spacey played the drug smuggling billionaire. Kevin even said that "I would not have a career I've had in film had it not been for Wiseguy" I knew watching it then that he would become a huge star. Anyone who has not seen it really should check it out.
