They're freezing. Everything's falling apart. What is this, the first stinking winter they've ever experienced? What about every other friggin' year they've been in these communities? How stupid. To be fair, a good portion of this series takes place in Georgia. And aren't they supposed to be in Virginia now? That's not exactly legendary winter territory, either. Fear the Walking Dead takes place in even farther south territory. It doesn't really bother me that we haven't seen a real winter danger on the shows, or that the characters appear ill-prepared to deal with it. That had to be about the most low-key season finale in TWD history. They weren't going to outdo the last episode, of course, but it was kinda slow. No problem with that. Still interesting.

The Whisperers don't make any sense. How the heck are they surviving? They put diseased skin over their own skin, there's no way they are taking good care of their hygiene, and what kind of food are they eating? Just deer? How often do they come across them? Perhaps some fish and squirrels, too, I GUESS. No fruits or vegetables? Maybe some roots and berries or nuts on occasion. But they MUST be nomadic. How are they getting potable water? I'm assuming they just leave their sick or injured out for their "herds" to eat. And how the hell do they keep these herds together? I know, just a show. About zombies.
But, COME ON!!

I don't know how they'll be able to do three whole Rick movies. Do they really have that much story? 'Cause they're sure running out of stories on the show itself. I hope something actually happens this season.
Saw a trailer for the third show in this universe. Doesn't look too promising.

Last week's episode: Where did Carol get those pills? Wouldn't everything be expired by now? Are they making them with something?
Also: What is going on with Sadiq? I might have missed something. Did he get bit by a spider or something or was he hallucinating? I don't remember and I really don't want to re-watch any episodes. They're getting almost as painful as FTWD. As a for instance: I was going to bring something up about the episode last night and I don't even remember what it was.
I miss Rick and Carl.

While this show remains inconsistent, when it's on, it can still be pretty good.
In regards to last night's episode: how is it possible that my hate/fury toward Negan has been steadily eroded over the last year or so? I still can't forgive him for what he did to Glenn and Abe, but they've almost got him to the point where he's a sympathetic character.
Some of that may have to do with the introduction of Alpha, whom I don't hate with the same passion, but I'm scared of her more than I was of Negan. And she put more heads of our friends on pikes than Negan bashed in with Lucille, including Henry's. I can't say for sure, but it seems like Negan wouldn't have done that, even before his "reformation." We also know Negan does not like rape, which seems to be almost encouraged in Whisperer society.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a lot of fun to watch as an actor. I got tired of the Negan schtick for awhile, but he's been really good this season. Watch him when Aaron tells him it was his fault his wife died. Watch him when that kid talked smack about Carl (while getting the story wrong, to boot). I thought that guy was a grease stain on the ground right there. Really some nice, intense performances from Morgan this season.
When Rick decided to "let it go" with Negan, so to speak, maybe I should have as well. Of course, Maggie may disagree with that. But these days, if I have to side with Negan or Alpha/Beta, I'm going with the devil I know. I don't know if he stands a chance against them - his former power was drawn from the strength in numbers and loyalty of the Saviors - but it should be interesting to watch.

Nah, I still hate Negan. (Love Jeffrey Dean Morgan, though). He does seem to be getting better as far as realizing he was formerly a complete as$hole - I think his killing of that kid who was idolizing him was a kind of "killing" of his old self. It was like - I'm getting better, why are you dragging up all that old sh*t? Don't make me go down that path again.
He might feel he has to with The Whisperers, but with them, I don't think he minds going "old Negan" on them.
Maybe he will regress and Maggie kills his ass.
I don't know if they're going to have Rick ever come back, if they do, it might be a few years down the road, I don't know how long the movies are going to take to make, or what the timeline in universe will be, but I really hope he does come back and it's at a moment when our group is against the ropes either against the remaining Whisperers or some other threat, and Rick comes charging in with some remaining firearms and just shoots sh*t up.

Why would Alpha keep Negan around when he could just blab that Lydia is still alive? Wouldn't that undermine her authority further?
How stupid is it to bring a BABY into an infirmary full of sick people? They don't even know what this bug is yet.
I'll repeat: What the hell is up with Sadiq? Did someone plant an hypnotic suggestion? Is it some kind of drug? Is it The Whisperers doing it or that other doctor? (For some bizarre reason).
Didn't Aaron see that Whisperer poisoning the water? Isn't he going to TELL someone?
Whose on the other end of that radio? Anyone recognize the voice? She sounds familiar but I can't place her. (The actress, I mean, not the character obviously as we don't know yet).

Um. When was Dante first introduced? I don't even remember and I sure as sh*t don't want to go back and check. Did no one realize he was a new person there? Where did they think he came from? Did no one suspect he could be a Whisperer? I literally don't remember his story line when he first showed up. I'm this oblivious now about this show and yet I keep watching and hoping something will feel like the show of old. I felt absolutely nothing when Saddiq died. (Nothing against the actor). There are too many characters and they don't get enough meat to their stories to care. I don't even like the "OG's". Carol is getting annoying, Daryl is just kind of there, (Michonne as well) never got too into Ezekiel and Jerry, don't really give a rat's ass when Maggie comes back, couldn't care less about Judith (liked her better as a baby), RJ is a non-character. The only one I still care about is Rick. And now he's just so far removed from the story, who knows if his arc will continue to be interesting or just kind of fizzle and ruin the whole TWD experience like a certain other show (lookin' at you GoT Season 8). But, again, Saddiq dying just didn't have the impact of Carol's reaction to Sophia, Rick's reaction to Lori (and Carl's having to kill his own mom), Rick (and Carl) killing Shane, Carol killing Lizzie, Hershel, Maggie's reaction to seeing Daryl holding a dead Beth, Glenn having to witness Noah dying, Glenn and Abraham (and the reactions of their friends having to witness that). It's just not the same.

Those stupid Styrofoam rocks in that "cave." Negan's and Alpha's over-the-top characters. People not just KILLING off their damn enemies and leaving them to fight another day.
Ugh.
This show officially bites. Can even Rick save it? Who knows.

Gee, what a twist. (Sarcasm). Negan betrays Alpha. Who saw it coming? Well, everyone.
They made that too easy and made Alpha lower her guard too much. Very unrealistic (I type about a show about walking dead). But you know what I mean. Why would she just trust Negan so completely like that?
I wonder who Beta really is? And how the hell did that Whisperer "recognize" him with just the left side of his chin showing? "It's YOU!" Did he have his face plastered on benches and buses like Saul Goodman?
I still want there to be a war with the Whisperers (with Beta now leading, I guess) and have it look hopeless and have Rick come back and shoot 'em all up. I didn't want Negan to be good. I wanted Rick to come back and say, "Remember - I told you, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow - but I WILL kill you."
Will Eugene find (was it Stephanie?). Hopefully yes, and hopefully it will be something interesting that will lead to Rick and the story will start going faster. I doubt it, though. Don't even need the Rick movies for him to come back and fix stuff. The movies could be a flashback sort of thing. Again, I doubt it. It will probably drag on for another few years.
And with this virus, maybe even all the production of these shows and movies will take even longer because they don't want to have everyone working with too many people yet until there's more of a control on things.

Wait, what? Beta can just play that damn record on a record player that WORKS? What was the source of power?
And now he's: ALPHA BETA!!!
Oh, how I miss the Rick years.

I can see by the lack of traffic on here that no one is caring. (At least not enough to write anything). Princess seems fun. But, these later characters, starting with Negan, are way more over-the-top than the originals when the series first started, and the first few seasons. I guess the Governor was a LITTLE from time to time, but as time has gone on, this show has a more comic book feel than the early days. Come ON, Judith! Just TELL Daryl why Michonne is still away! Grrr. I wanted to see his reaction. But maybe it will be more interesting when (if) Rick actually comes back. I know "spoiler" is in the title of this thread, but this is just for people who watched the episode and not the trailer for the next: Maggie is coming back, I see. They are hinting heavily that the third series will have some link to Rick, but they might just be teasing that and drawing it out so more people will watch it and HOPE that he's shown, or something about him is shown.

Season 10 finale is Oct. 4th. Seems like a long wait, but this year is going by so dang fast it'll probably feel like two weeks. The premiere for the third show in this universe airs right after that. They can't really start production on Season 11, but there will be a few more episodes for Season 10 so 10 will be extended a bit (so I guess it's not really a finale in the true sense). Those will air in early 2021. If anyone even cares anymore, heh-heh. I watched the Comic-Con@Home panel on YouTube. Lauren Cohen's (Maggie) accent is almost completely gone. When she talks a lot, it comes out a bit with certain vowel sounds, but she sounds more American now.
