Superb! My favorite season 1 episode, another from my top 10 with Sinbad, the Master Ninja's are not bad -- but what makes them great is that they are a suprise and they come from season 3, we needed some from that much neglected season. Great set Shout!

Man, is Shout! just cranking these puppies out or what? Whoo-hoo!
Two questions: what happened to Slime People? That one got skipped in the S1 run so far. Also, any hope or chance of getting Women of the Prehistoric Planet re-issued on a set just so those who missed Rhino's release have a chance at all of season one?

^We will probably get Slime People sometime in the next couple of releases. Shout hasn't been releasing season 1 in order. They went from Mad Monster, back to Aztec Mummy, up to Corpse, then back to Crawling Eye. After that they jumped to a season 2 experiment.
As to Prehistoric, I believe Brian from Shout has stated that their are no plans to re-issue Rhino's releases... as I understand it, they are concentrating on stuff that's never before been released. Plus if you mix in a previously released ep with a bunch of new ones, fans (like me) who already bought and own that old ep would scream bloody murder. I would hope if they ever do re-release out of print episodes, that they would collect them in a set with other out of prints (with no new experiments) or as singles.
I understand those who missed buying those, wanting to get them. But not as a double dip to those who already own them.

Yeah, that's what I noticed as well, so I anticipate that happenning. I'm very pleased that Shout isn't overlooking the early seasons, and their burning through season 1 was a pleasant surprise when they snatched the rights to the show. I'm still hoping for a "balanced" set, like Rhino's volume 9, which had a Josh/Joel/Trace, Kevin/Joel/Trace, Kevin/Mike/Trace, and Kevin/Mike/Bill all in one pack. I always loved that set for that reason alone, and when Shout started releasing S1, I kept hoping for a few more. Slightly bummed that we still aren't getting another one, but Season 1 isn't over yet.

Only thing that disappoints me is that I already have two of these episodes, but at least now I'll have them in DVD quality.
And it's always good to see more Season 3.

It's nice to see everyone excited about this set. Shout Factory continues to amaze me when it comes to the episodes they have been able to get released. It shows how passionate Brian Ward and co are about doing everything they can for the fans.

I just wanna chime in with some Master Ninja love. Haven't seen the other two, so it should be a great set all around!

I haven't seen the Mstie versions of Master Ninja before, but I actually remember watching those shows as a young child during the 'ninja' frenzy of the '80s. It was simply called 'The Master' and I'm sure it was pure cheese, but to a 7 year old boy, it was pure awesome. I'm looking forward to the DVD release and I'll see how much of the show I actually remember.

Funny, I've actually been thinking about Master Ninja a lot lately, since I've been seeing Tim Van Patten's name on the HBO show Boardwalk Empire as an Executive Producer/Director/Co-Writer. Wonder if he's going to be happy about this release? ;D Same here!

I'm curious to see if they'll try to reissue Vol. 1-12 with the same episodes (since they did carry on using the volume numbers started by Rhino), and how they'll handle the single releases. The only Rhino episode we obviously won't see reissued is GODZILLA VS. MEGALON, the rest I'm pretty sure Shout could get the rights to again.

While I would have liked to see Mike eps,( then again they gave 3 Mikes to one Joel on the 20th anniversary set.) this collection is brimming with quality. Both Master Ninja films and Sinbad. Wow. I'll save my Christmas money for this.

It just hit me, if they add them as an extra (as they have with the others) this will be the first time I'll get to see the Sinbad MST Hour segments. Woo Hoo - one gap to fill on my website and something new to view. Go Jack go! (Now all I need to see is MST segs for Manos and I Accuse My Parents)

Well, that's at least one extra we can hope to see for the set.
