Okay, that is ****ed up. "Buy new Lego System #1859: Screaming Man in Box. Allow your kids to express their creativity about the futility of life!" Actually, I love Legos and I'm glad your son enjoys them, too. We used to have a big Tupperware bin where I stored all of the Lego pieces I owned. A lot of the thin canvas pieces broke. Models I enjoyed were the space / sci-fi vehicles. A model I always wanted was one of their train set models, and I'm glad I do have one of them now. However, if I'm going to nitpick, I'd rather have a model that resembles a diesel engine or passenger shuttle. I would certainly encourage getting kids interested in innovative toys. When I was in junior high, either my mom or dad got me this toy set (I don't remember the name of it) which you connected various plastic cells to one another to create motorized vehicles or devices. For example, you could use floating units and a propeller to create a propelled boat. Incidentally, during science class, the teacher had the class use these toys for a creative exercise. Because of my experience with them, I had my group assemble a unit which used two wheels to travel suspended from a thread. The rest of the class was amazed by this and actually started emulating what I did.

This guy's work looks almost pixelated. My son is 25, and moved out 5 years ago, yet I still occasionally step on one of the tiny Legos. They never go away. There are nanite Lego colonies breeding in my walls and floors, I just know it.

I love Legos. Two weeks ago I made a Quadrocular Mobilith (you heard me!) out of one when I was playing with some kids in a Sunday School class.
