I would say good...but it was bad. I got sick on the way home and I felt bad since my mom made all that food and how do I pay it back? By seeing it in reverse.

Mine was full of secrets, lies, and shame. And Filipino food.

Mine is tomorrow, when the whole family can get together. Mom's doing a traditional turkey, I'm making David Burke's Roast Half Turkey with Bread Pudding, Chestnut-Turkey Cappuccino, and Candied Lemon Peel.
Thanksgiving proper was a slow day at the restaurant, but Black Friday lived up to its name for us. As it did for Boise State when their streak was snapped by my alma mater last night -- glee!
So today it's making the sides and watching my MST marathon. Doing the VHS eps I selected first, then the DVDs. I'm watching "Operation Double 007" right now.

You think I should boycott all the Pilgrim Holidays because I puked all the Thanksgiving Meal?

I thought it would suck being so far away from home. It was actually really nice. My wife, her parents and several of my office coworkers went out to the Toby Carvery www.tobycarvery.co.uk/ for a nice gorging. A good time was had by all. Later I called my family back in the States and the talked to everyone.

Try making ten items in a tiny RV with an RV-sized stove, only two saucepans...I nearly ran over the turkey breast to get it small enough for the oven. And I had every single spoon I own out for a serving utensil. But...I have to say, everything came out perfect. It's five days later and the two other single RVers I invited over are still raving about the food. If I so say so myself. 68 degrees, we ate outside, looking at saguaro and organ pipe cacti, ironwood, palo verde trees and volcanic peaks all around us, a blue, blue sky, gila woodpeckers hanging out nearby. Quite idyllic setting.

This is the time of year my parents split.
I don't care much for Thanksgiving.

The bad: I was on antibiotics for a urinary tract infection and so I couldn't drink.
The good: I got to go out dancing the night before, and I got to eat with my good friends Laura and Evil Mark. The food and conversation were excellent.

Thank God for my brother and his family. Though I had to work that night, I went to their house for football and food and conversation. I told my brother I had not used my voice all week. I work alone (and didn't bump into the janitors), I come home to an empty apartment. I have no friends around town, and I never went to store to buy groceries etc. This season is a lonely depressing time so I am very grateful that I at least have my brother. I think I'd have gone batsh-- insane without him. It was odd hearing my voice again and I had a nice time with the family.

This is the time of year my parents split. I don't care much for Thanksgiving. I may skip Thanksgiving after that fiasco I had last week!
