I remember watching the miniseries and how no names were attributed to the real-life Easy Company members who would talk about their experiences at the start of each chapter. As it went on I really wanted to know who each of them were. When I saw the last episode and saw Winters was one of those giving his account of the actual events I was thrilled to suddenly know I was hearing it from him.
I'm just as sad to hear he's gone. Rest well, sir.
