once in a while a singer, band, or in this case, duo, comes out with a song that stands out from their usual hootin and hollerin about honky tonkin and bleating about how proud they are to be a beer drinking redneck american. brooks and dunn had a long career full of songs like that, but when they did believe i was really impressed. one of my main problems with today's country is that the songs don't tell the stories they used to. you might get part of one - a few lines followed by a chorus you hear ten times of whatever their hook is. but i always thought this song didn't fall into that category. have i justified me liking it enough?
