Hello. I am debating picking up the Maniac dvd. I have read the plot and the mention of the cat scenes. I was wondering if the violence towards the cats is realistic or fake looking. If it looks real, it will probably be upsetting to me(I am tender hearted that way!) I would like to find out before I try to watch it. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Everything in Maniac is fake looking. I don't think you'll have a problem with it. This from an owner of three cats. Though they really own me.

Thank you for the reply. I'm going right over there to order it now. My cat doesn't own me, but please don't tell him I said that!

The cat violence looked really silly, and tacked on. But then I've seen this movie several times and I still can't figure out who the target audience was supposed to be.

ha, maniac is freaky man. it's not graphic but it's a horror flick and it kinda crawls into your head. the rats eat the cats and the cats eat the rats, man! it's NOT OKAY.
