So, DW...how's that rain delay and Rays comeback (so far) treating you? heh heh...

That remains to be seen. Although, I doubt I'll be staying up to see it.
And also I'll grant you Adam Dunn as it relates to collapses.

Man, in just one night, two teams completed their epic collapses and are out of the playoffs. Redsox and Braves fans must be pulling their hair out right now.

That was an amazing night of baseball. Probably one of my all time favorite sports-watching experiences, and I didn't even have a team in the running.

Mrs. Atari and I went to a pub that had the games on over the bar. I was rooting against the Cardinals (because they're the enemy) and the Red Sox (just don't like 'em), but I honestly stopped rooting for anyone when the unbelievable started happening. It made me think of the Rockies run in 2007, which was just as unbelievable and exciting to watch.

Holy poopie, DW. I HOPE you saw the end of that game! I barely escaped. I saw Papelbon give up the tying double and figured it was over then, so I bailed. I had also seen the Rays tying home run by some guy. So no, I didn't quite see it, but I may as well have. Of course, as someone who became a Sox fan in 1986, I know what it's like to blow such games. Besides, after 2004 and 2007, I figure a few non-postseason seasons is to be expected.

Very cool end to the night with those games. I was watching the Twins avoid 100 losses and hearing some of John Gordon's final radio call for the Twins. Gonna be a weird off season and 2012 season.

The World Series has been pretty darned good! Last night's sixth game was a classic, though I think some people are putting it a bit high on the all-time greatest World Series games lists. Still, what a story for Freese. Redemption doesn't feel the same watching any other sport as it does with baseball. Amazing. And I'm rooting for the Rangers. Oh, and I'm also digging watching Nick Punto starting for a World Series team after years of nearsighted Twins fans talking how lousy he was (not a great hitter, but the guy can field). I'm still not happy we dealt him. All comes down to tonight. Go Rangers and Punto!

Last night's game was incredible. I wish it was any team besides the Cardinals.
Tonight's game is just sad. The Rangers' pitching completely fell apart in both of these games.
I'm not sure I can handle all of the smug Cardinals fans. Oh wait, that's redundant. Sorry.

The only consolation is that they still have to live in St. Louis.
