If you could go back in time and arrange it so, Which episode of mst3k would you want to be the final new episode you'd get to see? This assumes you can't choose the obvious final episode Diabolik.

I guess my screen name gives this away, but you could do worse than "Jack Frost."

I am going to limit myself to a Season 10 episode, since it was probably at least an option for them to have gone with one of those for their swan song. Within those boundaries, I always thought "Horrors of Spider Island" would have been a more classic movie choice for MST3K to go out on.
(NOTE: technically, the last new episode to ever air was "Merlin's Shop"...)

I always switch the last two eps when viewing them in order, because I think Squirm is a stronger ep and I feel somehow more complete and satisfied that way. But if I had all the choices in the world? wow. One might choose an ep about a space traveler returning home and do something with the host segments that connects it, so Incredible Melting Man or That Season 7 Corman thing with all the Steves.

I'd say Soultaker. It would have been a nice close for Joel to bring M&TB rescued by Joel.

Yeah, I'd have to go with Soultaker too, just for Joel and Frank coming back for that episode it just would have been a good place to go out.

Final Justice, because it's my favorite, and it's yet another Joe Don Baker movie to end an era.

Final Justice would have been serendipity. Mike and Joel started their respective first episodes of the National series with a black and white sci-fi, it would have been great for them both to go out on Joe Don Baker.

Initially, I'd go with either Space Mutiny for its pure 80s cheese or Soultaker because of Joel and Frank returning...but then I think I'd like Time Chasers. Anytime MST3K covered a movie made around the same time MST3K was developed, I always chuckled. Plus, Time Chasers seemed to have the same labor of love attitude about it that MST3K had and was well riffed. Plus, seeing Big Dumb 80s Mike and brother Eddy Nelson was one of my favorite host segment ever.

I'm trying to work it so that Godzilla Vs the Sea Monster is My final episode. I've seen every Commercially available episode plus a few extra. Any suggestions for what it should be?

since i haven't seen all the episodes., cept for the KTMA days & about half of season 1. & most of the episodes when Syfy aired it. i dunno what would be on my wish list for a last episode. though i do WISH that Joel had also done the last episode as well. like at the end when they are riffing films at Mike's House. Joel could have showed up there.

LaserblastSorry scifi fans. I would agree with this. It really seemed like a good episode to end the show on.

Laserblast, Final Justice & Soultaker for said reasons.
CONCERNING LASERBLAST: As much as I enjoyed Mixed Up Zombies, Space Mutiny, Pumaman & The Final Sacrifice, I prefer to treat CC & SciFi episodes as two different series....The "Real, Truly Canonical CC MST3K" & "The More Cynical, Similar Substitute, Non-Canonical Retcon SciFi MST3K". The CC Era ended on such a happy & hopeful note for everyone: M&TBs are happy, playful energy beings...Frank is happily in Second Banana Heaven...The Forresters can 'Start All Over' & hopefully do it right this time...The future Earth isn't doomed by a Mike Nelson-induced Ape/Atom Bomb apocalypse. The CC Era had a certain gentle & fun charm with truly wonderful & creative skits, Trace Bealleau (As Dr. F & Crow, Bill Corbett's a scream, but he's no Trace, sorry Bill), and it's JOEL'S BABY! It reflects a more positive worldview.
