Coming April 12th! This one definitely qualifies as "long-awaited."

^ I was thinking the same thing. This should be a blast, though. As a non trekkie, I love this movie, so if it's anything like Jaws I'm sure it will have repeat potential.

Hmm.
Question. Is it the director's cut or the theatrical? The Star Trek VI Riff was director's since it was the latest DVD, but I think the BluRays on the market are theatrical only.

Oh, crap, I just did some checking... the old silver cover art editions are the 116 minute Director's Cut, while the current DVD/Blu Ray editions are the 112 minute theatrical cut. This is gonna suck. Well, suck for me. I kept the old versions.

Man, it leaves something to be desired when they do a good movie...I tried to watch Empire Strikes Back and as much as I love the guys all together again...(Bill Corbett is hilarious unchecked!) they....gasp...annoyed me with that movie.
The Star Wars Prequels? Gold...Platinum, URANIUM even! If you have not watched Revenge of the Sith, do so...you'll pee, even if you have cholera

It's here... for Theatrical and Director's Cut. That's interesting. Is this the first time they've done this?

It's here... for Theatrical and Director's Cut. That's interesting. Is this the first time they've done this? AFAIK. On the Rifftrax forum, it was said that they riffed to the Directors Cut, and it was cut down to correctly fit the Theatrical Cut. A Movie like this is a special case, though. Trekkies are a hardcore lot, so it's very possible that many of the hardcore Trekkies would still have the Director's Cut released in '02, while a mass audience, netflix renters, or blu ray upgraders would only have the theatrical release. So, in this case, it makes sense to have the two separate versions. Besides, you get 'em both when you buy the riff, anyway. So you don't have to choose, or go out and find a different version.

That's a great way to deal with alternate cuts. Hopefully they can do it more.
