One of my favourites when I was younger. A great wrestler and by all accounts a great guy behind the scenes where so many are not. Roddy Piper's Twitter has made for some sad reading since his death. Also what saddened me was there didn't appear to be any official tribute him at the latest WWE PPV, although CM Punk did perform a nod to him with a big elbow drop from the top rope after pointing at the sky.
RIP

They had a very moving tribute the next night on Raw thankfully and CM Punk again referenced him by wearing pink tights with three white stars on them with his name on the buttock area and yellow boots, just like the great man wore in his earrlier days with the WWF.

Just reinforces why CM Punk is my current favorite.

Mines too, sadly I've heard rumours he's leaving when his contract's up at the end of the year thanks to him being fed up with them not using him enough. Fingers crossed the bosses come to their senses.

Punk might have pissed of VKM. Vince K. McMahon will do whatever he wants for whatever reason he chooses. Vince is the reason that Savage was never mention since leaving the WWFE. Randy apparently did something to piss him off.
On a side note, VKM lived in a mobile home park about twenty miles from me when he was a kid.

The rumor that abounded was that Savage got, well, Macho with Vince's daughter Stephanie when she was underage. Roddy Piper, however, said that Vince was very upset when Savage jumped to WCW. The two were very close, and Savage leaving broke Vince's heart.

Can't blame Savage for going when he did. They were probably offering more money and by that point he was very underused by the WWF, kind of like it is with Punk now.
And Sky's right about pissing off Vince, although supposedly that can be done just by being well received by fans when he didn't give you a push, meaning his business skills are called into question, or by others talking you up. Recently Paul Heyman tweeted some very flattering stuff about Punk which was in turn re-tweeted by people such as Steve Austin and Bret Hart. Again if Vince takes that as any of them questioning the way he runs the place Punk will end up being the one who suffers.
