This was one of the most amusing articles I've read in a while.I agree 100% with the writeup they did with Dwayne Johnson. Such a promising action career flushed down the toilet. I was sad when Jason Lee appeared on it though, even though I understand the reasons why. But I still love the guy. Favorite quote: "Fourteen movies in to what passes for his acting career it's clear that not only does Ashton Kutcher suck, he's doing it on purpose."

That was a good write up, especially Ashton kutcher. He was so good at physical comedy on That 70's Show, he made Butterfly Effect, and then nothing. Another guy who fits that list is Billy Zane. He's a decent actor, but he'll readily admit how much he loves making bad B movies.
While I love the old Kevin Smith stuff, as well as My Name is Earl, it sounds like Scientology got the best of Jason Lee. I like to think of him like this...

I checked out the website briefly, but I don't like the suspicious way it is behaving. So, I'll just comment without the luxury of having it in front of me.
There are actors and actresses whose films I personally eschew. Sandra Bollock comes to mind and, sure, we can add Kate Hudson to that as well. However, here's the thing that I think contrasts Bollock and Hudson with characters like Brendan Fraser and Tim Allen. Perhaps without knowing for sure, it strikes me that Bollock and Hudson have the luxury of cherry-picking their roles and movies. Contrast that against Fraser and Allen who I think, if given the complete luxury of consequence-free sincerity, would admit that the movies that they star in are s**t and had little other choice than to be in them. It strikes me as the height of scapegoating to blame characters like Fraser for the movies they are in. Then again, does that highlight a level of hypocrisy or inconsistency for myself that I don't give Bollock and Hudson the same luxury?
Also, I would sooner watch Brendan Fraser mug alongside Roger Rabbit cartoon characters than I would watch some Hollywood seal-of-approval tearjerker where Will Smith deliberately Oscar-baited.
"Actors Who Don't Care About Movies" seems like a callous and cynical title that throws assumptions about its subjects. I think a better topic (though still somewhat callous) would be "Talented Individuals That Somehow Cannot Make Good Movies". Such a list could include great comedians like Chris Rock, Bill Cosby, and even lesser acts like Allen. After all, that seemed to be the focus of the original article: actors and actresses who seemed to be talented, but have a knack for terrible movies.

Putting Bullock's name on the list seems unfair. I believe she sincerely wants to make good movies. Her problem is (and I'm not being snarky here) she genuinely can't tell the difference between a good script and bad script.
You can't tell me she chose Ya Ya Sisterhood, Crash, or Love Floats because she was chasing big box office. Nor is she addicted to the almighty dollar. Many times she's waived the promise of a bigger salary simply for the opportunity to work on a lower budgeted film.
Jack Lemmon once said in an interview he had no clue what made a good movie. Paraphrasing loosely: "I've been in movies I thought were going to be good that turned out to be bad and vice versa."
Only talent makes a great star, but sometimes it's dumb luck that makes a great career.

Brendan Fraser has always befuddled me. How can someone who did what he did in Gods and Monsters--an amazing, award-worthy performance--do so much crap? School Ties and The Passion of Darkly Noon also had decent performances, but ... I keep thinking I'll read an article that reveals he has multiple personalities, for how could someone choose such good, challenging roles, excel at them, and do all that utter doo-doo he does? Surely he has enough money by now.

But Fraser's not an A-list actor, so maybe he has to settle for crap just to keep working.
