To me? Alfred Hitchcock not winning ANYTHING at the Oscars except a Lifetime Achievement Award. Actually one of his films "Rebecca" won Best Picture (or Best Screenplay, I don't recall).
This thread doesn't have to pertain to Oscars. It can be about any award show.
As far as Annie Awards go, Joe Alaskey got rooked out of his award for best voice actor (for his work on Looney Tunes Back in Action).

I mentioned this on my bad Oscars thread, but Brad Davis not even getting nominated for his amazing performance in Midnight Express. In no sense is this an easy movie to watch because of the subject matter, but it's great drama, and Davis did an amazing job. Not only was it one of the best performances of that year, I'd probably rank it as one of the best twenty performances by a male actor ever. There are expressions on his face, the shake of his head in the shower, moments that can still play on my inner movie screen precisely, they are so memorable, despite that I haven't seen this film in 30 years.
He did win the Golden Globe for it, and a number of smaller awards, but still.

I always felt it wasn't fair that James Mason never won an Oscar. He was a terrific actor and he deserved to get at least one, IMO.
