It's OK. . .Netflix had more selection, but Amazon's is growing. If you're already a Prime member, it's free.
TBH I didn't find Netflix's selection of streaming availability that great. They seemed to have a ton of direct-to-DVD type stuff and not much else.

But I'm not really a general audience.

I finally hooked up my DISH receiver to my home network. I found that DISH has thousands of flicks available for download. Many are free. You do have the option of streaming but my speed isn't fast enough for that.
Looks like the downloads expire after 30 days. I watched Blood of Dracula's Castle yesterday and it played perfectly.

DirecTV has something similar. . .and the downloads expire as well. Thing is, there are at least options. I think Netflix could be in trouble if they don't get their decision making straightened out.

I should look at that section of the Dish menu more often, I guess. I remember when Dish added that feature, I took a quick look and immediately forgot about it. Looks like they've added actual content since then.

Now Quikster is dead and they're back to the old way? Is the CEO having mental problems?

Now Quikster is dead and they're back to the old way? Is the CEO having mental problems? I dropped them again. Threw Sir Reed into a funk. Now he just doesn't care.

I heard the reversal announcement today on NPR. What a larf!
I recently watched all 110 episodes of Top Gear UK on Netflix streaming. What a great show. I also watch (or just fall asleep to) Ancient Aliens, too. The stuff that comes out of their mouths is too funny...
But how did people move and lift 400-ton rocks thousands of years ago? Hmmm.

As much as all the changes have irritated me, I gotta say this: I still don't mind it all that much. For someone like me who only gets the most basic of the basic cable packages, I enjoy having Netflix around. Plus, most of the other options aren't really all that better; they're either more expensive or have a worse selection. This was a bad PR move, and I think Netflix is finally starting to realize that. It was stupid of them; that's plainly obvious. But I also think that there's a bit of overreaction on our part as well.
