So much nostalgia...
I'll be watching mostly to see Pete and Pete/Aaahh Real Monsters again.

We agree, Ratso. I have fond memories of that era of Nick because my kids watched it then. Pete & Pete was ahead of its time. Real Monsters was great. Along with Double Dare, and You Can't Do That... Good, wholesome stuff. EDIT: Good, wholesome, quirky stuff.

I was an avid Nick viewer as a child, but I don't think I'll be tuning into this. Don't think a lot of my Kenan & Kel memories will age well.

And I'd prefer to leave it that way.

Seeing an ad for this last night made me tingle. Anyone loved Salute Your Shorts? I wonder if they will play Are You Afraid of the Dark? I never watched Pete and Pete but heard great things, and was always agog at Hunter S Thompson making a cameo on that show. Maybe this is my chance to check it out.

You know, I would certainly have nostalgia for some old Nick programs. However, I can't get nostalgic for Nick in the 90s for some reason. In retrospect, I think the tipping point was Ren & Stimpy. Mind you, I used to love watching it. However, and note that I'm not a prude, I just think that's where they went too far. Then again, that would be forgetting about a pile of buggers in You Can't Do That On Television, so I guess the channel always had its gross-out humor. Also, I'm too old for some of that stuff they showed in that video. Double Dare is great, no doubt. But what about Mr. Wizard's World? What about Clarissa Explains It All? (And, yeah, I did have a crush of Hart.) Classic Nick This is a page I found a long time ago that discusses several old shows that I miss greatly.

It was just an extra with the same name.

I think Rocko had Ren & Stimpy beat for the subtle naughty stuff. Rocko first worked in a call center that it was hinted was a sex line, the restaurant "Chokey Chicken", one of Filburt's kids looking like Heffer, and so on. And that leaving out a lot of the social commentary the show snuck in. It really has improved as I've gotten older and started to get the deeper meanings.

I think Rocko had Ren & Stimpy beat for the subtle naughty stuff... There is absolutely nothing subtle about Ren & Stimpy. Ha, I was going to say the same thing. I'm amazed that those shows even made it to Nickelodeon. They were both excellent, but not really made for kids. Rocko maybe, but Ren and Stimpy should have been on MTV. One of my favorite nostalgia Nick shows is Legends of the Hidden Temple. In college, when Nick Games and Sports came on the air, I'd frequently force my roommates to watch the show, making a drinking game out of it. If you love to laugh at children's misfortunes, then this was quite entertaining. Multiple teams were eliminated within seconds of the show coming on the air. A trivia round provided further embarrassment, while the finale was not only incredibly difficult, but one teammate basically was forced to play cheerleader as the other played it out. At least on GUTS, you dreamed of a piece of the Aggro Crag, but on LotHT, you basically hoped you didn't swing face first into a fake piece of Mayan temple (which happened once, and was legendary).

90's? What the hell is wrong with you people? nickelodeon was at its height in the 80's. Dangermouse, Mr. Wizard, and the greatest kids' show ever: You Can't Do That on Television.
