uh, I know we're not to speak ill of the dead, so suffice it to say, this gal wasn't morrison, hendrix, joplin or cobain. Furthermore, Keith Moon was 32, Duane Allman was 25, Mike Bloomfield was 26. Cass Elliot, who died of anorexia-caused heart failure (the other thing is a rude myth) was 33, Karen Carpenter ditto at 32. Sid Vicious was only 21...and on and on. Sorry but inaccurate numerology stuff (which is to say all numerology stuff) bugs me.

The point is for some reason when musician dies when he or she is 27 their considered more legendary than guys who died in their 70s.

I enjoyed her "Back To Black" album (very 60s) and always imagined her crooning a Shirley Basey-type Bond song in the future. Sadly, that will never happen... Looks like there's still hope.

Interesting news report here. It appears that the toxicology report is back, and there weren't any illegal drugs in her system. So that thing that we all thought for sure killed her might not necessarily have been to blame. Is it weird that I find that kind of inspiring? That when society nods its head and says "Yeah, we saw that coming" the evidence kind of shows that she might not've been killed that way? Of course, this means now we'll wait for a more official investigation to end to find out the real reason.
