FINALLY got caught up on all the DVD releases (minus the out of print and far too expensive volume 9 and the Godzilla episode found on volume 10). Now I'm officially pumped to pick this up!

This set looks great! All fantastic episodes (although I'm not as high on Violent Years as some are, but it's a decent ep.) Shout! continues to amaze.

I'll wait to see if Shout will offer another stress ball with this, that will make 4 if they do.

Sampo posted the extras for Volume 22 on Satellite News today.
Time of the Apes extras: INTRODUCTION BY AUGUST RAGONE (Author of Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters) MST HOUR WRAPS
Mighty Jack extras: INTRODUCTION BY AUGUST RAGONE THE DVD MENUS OF MST3K
The Violent Years extras: ED-UCATION: ARCHIVAL INTERVIEW WITH DELORES FULLER ED-UCATION: ARCHIVAL INTERVIEW WITH KATHY WOOD
The Brute Man extras: INTRODUCTION BY MARY JO PEHL TRAIL OF THE CREEPER: MAKING THE BRUTE MAN THE MAKING OF MST3K (1997)
I liked Ragone's overview of Gamera's film history from the last set, so I'm looking foward to seeing what he has to say about the episodes here.
Also really happy to see Mary Jo finally doing a Episode Intro. It's nice to see the Making of MST3K special as a bonus too.
Shout really does a great job when it comes to the extras.

Really excited for this set! I've never seen any of the episodes, so it'll be a great week when it hits!
I was doing the math, and it seems we only have 19.75 volumes to go. That is, of course, if every episode is able to be released, which probably isn't the case. Given that Shout! releases three volumes a year, conceivably DVD releases would end in six and a half years. so around 2017. But given the amount of unreleasable episodes, that number is surely a lot less.
Anyway... bring on December 6th!

Just a little over a week away! I've never seen these episodes either, but I've heard good things about each of them. Also the extras sound like a real treat.

Messed around with it last night (that's what she said), yet another great release!
August Ragone's background info is always a great listen, he's the type of guy I'd like to have lunch with (for purely non-romantic reasons), I'd just like to hear him go on and on about Godzilla and Gamera. He's one of those rare geeks who can piece together his knowledge and voice it well. Makes me think he recorded Gamera, Time of the Apes, Mighty Jack and (possibly) Fugitive Alien all in one day.
The menu doc was interesting, cool to see the faces behind the menus and I was surprised to learn it was the same guy from Rhino! Now I'd like to see a doc on the package design. Perhaps the can corner the goofball who made the Rhino releases and ask him/her what they were smoking when they made those pieces of crap. (I'm not a fan of the Rhino box designs, volumes 4 through 12).
Started watching Mighty Jack, what a mighty awful movie!
