I've died and gone to heaven. This is the one of the most riffable movies ever! I expect the crew to hit it out of the park. Available 8-5. You can see a clip here.

I was hoping CT would do this as a follow up to Alien Factor. But it'll be fun to see what RT does with Dohler.
Edit: Just watched the clip and it's hilarious. Don Dohler was made for riffing.

Interesting! I may indeed have to check this one out. I was hoping CT would do this as a follow up to Alien Factor. But it'll be fun to see what RT does with Dohler. Edit: Just watched the clip and it's hilarious. Don Dohler was made for riffing. THE GALAXY INVADER was one of the titles I suggested to Joel, but the rest of the CT crew felt it was too much like ALIEN FACTOR for the time being. I hope they still use it down the line, the Dohler films are perfect for riffing!

I just watched the movie last week unriffed and I agree it was primed and ready for riffing. I can't wait to see it.

I really hope they put this out on DVD. That and the Crater Lake Monster and Birdemic. I just dont do the Video on demand and I would love to have these in my collection Birdemic is not public domain and in this declining DVD market I really doubt Severin will be re-releasing Birdemic anytime soon. any particular reason you "don't do" video on demand? You are missing out on some great stuff.

Damn it, it wont download - (tried several times, at different locations, and it says it's downloading, but it never does). Is anyone else is having a problem with this? (I'll have to wait until monday to try again and if nothing I'll write customer service) Between that and the mailman losing my MST-Gamera order... this is turing into a grand weekend for riffing Grrr - but what can you do, sht happens sometimes.

I have the same problem, MJ. Each time I've tried to download it disappears. I chalked it up to me trying to start it remotely. We are away from home for the weekend.

This looks terrific. Good on Mike and the guys for doing more of the cheesier movies.

Anyone watched this yet? I'm curious to know what everyone thinks. This is the first time, in a long time that I did not purchase a Rifftrax VOD immediately on its release day. I knew I had a busy weekend ahead and planned to spend any spare time I had watching the new Gamera set and decided to pass... Plus, I hate to say... I had mixed feelings on the preview of this one. The first time I watched the preview for it, I didn't laugh at all and was very disappointed. I mean Don Dohler lobs watermelon-sized soft balls for you to knock out of the park when it comes to riffing... So, I thought they could do much better than what was in the previews... but on the other hand, IT'S RIFFTRAX DOING THE DON DOHLER FILM! The Galaxy Invader!!! One we've all wanted to see them do since it premiered at the beginning of Pod People...
Since then, I re-watched the preview and for some reason, the jokes made me laugh more. Maybe it was the mood I was in when I watched it the first time or something, but MST3k and related are sometimes like that... I plan to get this one on Friday to watch over the weekend, but I'd like to know some thoughts or reviews on this one, if anyone has watched it yet. Thanks!

Wow, that's weird, I had the same experience with TGI. On first viewing I found the riffing to be fairly boring. But by the third viewing yesterday I laughed my ass off through at least half of it. At this point I think this was a decent effort, not uproariously funny as CT's treatment of Alien Factor, but definitely worth ten bucks.

I'm going to have to give it another shot. The first viewing didn't rouse much laughter out of me. I feel they completely missed a great riff when the drool fell out of the guy's mouth. Being from the south, I can take a good hillbilly joke, but for some reason I tired of them early in this movie (that comes from someone who loves MST3K Squirm).
