Hey everybody, Just excitedly informing everyone of a fast-approaching showing of "The Movie" in New Bern, NC - on Friday, August 12th, at 7:00pm.Address and whatnot given below: www.newberncivictheatre.com/www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=199949080063764I know it's a long shot for anyone here to attend with such short notice, but the info only recently came online. I had coerced the theater into showing this a while back, and they are now giving in to my demands. For what it's worth, Skyroniter and myself are definitely planning on attending. If anyone reading IS actually able to make it, we'd certainly love to have ya join us. (Oh yeah, there's a chance Sky's replica 'bots may make an appearance again, as they were a big hit with the attendees the last time we had a local theatre show The Movie.) So....yeah, there you go. Should be fun!

I'm looking forward to me and the bots attending. Trying to convice the little lady to attend but she absolutely doesn't get it at all.

Cool! I saw MST3K:TM on the big screen for the first time back in 2008 in Saginaw, MI and none other than Mr. Kevin Murphy hosted the event. It is so much fun to watch with a large group.

I think Kevin is hosting this one too! Or is it Mike? I'm not sure.

Sadly, the biggest local celebrity I know of is Nicholas Sparks, and I strongly doubt he is willing to host us this go-round.
Maybe if we had a public riffing of one of his movies?

Nicholas Sparks IS going to be there!
Turns out he's a closet MSTie and all his inspirations turn into bad movies.

The theater was nearly perfect for this event. The manager and staff were enthusiastic as was the crowd. I understand there were "more than sixty" in attendance. Tons of laughing throughout.
Kudos to Raja for his efforts to pull this thing off. I've never enjoyed "The Movie" more.
