A new network has recently added to my comcast cable box. Antenna TV. Since I do not the the Retro TV network nor the Me TV network either, this was a nice addition. From shows like Dragnet, Adam-12, McHale's Navy, S.W.A.T. and more.. I know that one member here was rather upset when TV Land no longer broadcast Leave It To Beaver. Well it's on Antenna TV now. I like this network.. www.antennatv.tv/shows/antenna/

I know that one member here was rather upset when TV Land no longer broadcast Leave It To Beaver. Did someone say "Leave it to Beaver?" Alright! I had the first two seasons on DVD, then they sort of died on me. I don't even want to go into DVD rot and Hawai'i humidity. CD's do alright, but DVD's go kaput on me all the time. Especially Universal and WB DVDs. Well, I have Directv and the Me TV network just arrived here in Hawai'i about two weeks ago. Most of the shows you've mentioned are on it although I haven't seen the Beaver listed. I hope I'm just missing it when it's on and that I'll be able to catch it soon. Since TV Land seems to have abandoned most shows pre-1970, it's good to have a channel I can depend on to see these older programs I grew up watching. "The Munsters" and "The Big Valley" anyone?

I also like "Soap," "Dennis the Menace," "Sanford and Son" and "Father Knows Best." I even have a soft spot for "Too Close For Comfort" because I'm a big Ted Knight fan.

the best thing is you apparently CAN get this with just an antenna Tv, which is all i have. (I literally stopped buying cable when MST3k got canceled.)

But they say to turn off or switch it to your rabbit ears and you should get it if it's available in your area. Right now I am watching It Takes a Thief a show that I haven't watched in about 40 years when I was a kid. Back then I didn't understand what was going on. Good 1960's Cold War Cheese. Alfred Hitchcock is great of course but another show that I just discovered it the Suspense Theatre... aka the Kraft Suspense Theatre. an early 1960's anthology series featuring some really good stories. Great writing.. Things that you do not see much of these days on television..

This station is replacing Retro TV in my area, which aired similar stuff. However, right now they're showing Coppola's romantic comedy version of Dracula, in standard definition, and 4:3. Odd.
I can't remember what station it was, but one of my OTA stations was airing Sea Hunt awhile back. I found myself watching entire episodes, thinking of Crow and hoping for Lloyd to say his lungs were aching for air.

Before I left Kansas City, the "THIS" channel was showing "Sea Hunt" (along with "The Outer Limits," "Patty Duke," etc.) It was pretty good actually.

Yea, that's it, thanks. Apparently they're still on, but at 5:30 in the morning. No wonder I never see it anymore. I was surprised at how good the production values were, and that I actually enjoyed it. However, it was kind of like the Simpsons' Night Boat. It exists in a universe where everything that can ever happen occurs underwater.

Sadly none of the "retro" TV stations play up here....how Nick at Night/TV Land used to be (when they were GOOD). :\

I've gotten Antenna TV for a while now here in the Chicagoland area (it's the alternate to our regular Channel 9.) Most of what it shows I already got, more or less, from Me-TV and Me-Too, but it has some nice surprises (the Jack Benny Program and Burns & Allen, which Me-Too stopped playing at about the same time. I wonder if they let their rights slip for their broadcast area and Antenna picked it up.)

I was just flipping channels, and Retro TV showed Out of This World, the short before High School Big Shot about selling bread. These things are a bit terrifying without the riffs. I think this one would make for a nice communist propaganda video, because I quickly began to hate the entire concept of money.
Also, the bread salesman is clearly a sociopath. I bet he has loads of bodies in his cellar, stacked neatly into piles with all their heads facing the same direction.
And now Eegah's on, with Arch Hall Jr.'s face. This could be the most disturbing double bill ever shown on television.

TRIUMPH OF THE BREAD!
ironic, a lot of the political movies and shorts from the old red-baiting days are weirdly "socialistic" by today's standards. i tend to go on and on about this but "Invasion USA" warns us against the communist menace by ... trying to convince business owners that it's ok to let the government seize their means of production in times of crisis.
I'd love to see "Out of This World" unriffed. It's definitely one of my favorite riffed shorts, because it's just so hilarious on its own and yeah, the bread man is quite an intense character.
I'd also like to see a porno knockoff where breadman and the sexy angel get all filthy. but i'm guessing that if that ever gets made, it'll have to be because i made it.
