Actor and voice artist/coach Robert Easton has died aged 81. MSTies will know him as Dan 'you been hittin the booze?' Kester from The Giant Spider Invasion, Mr Keitel in The Touch of Satan, and the voices of Phones and Korda in Invaders from the Deep. www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-robert-easton-20111222,0,893492.story

That's really interesting. I had no idea about his "second career." But it sure makes me feel better about him after his character in Spider Invasion.

I remember him from movies (some of them good) way before MST, and from his appearances on Johnny Carson, where he'd talk about dialects and coaching actors. He was an interesting fellow and it sounds like a nice guy as well. Rest in peace Robert

I really loved the way the Klingon judge talked in Star Trek IV-especially when he said"Rura Penthe". Makes sense he taught dialect!
RIP, Good Sir.

I knew Easton best as Phones in Gerry Anderson's "Stingray" so it really shocked me when he died.
