I usually don't make them but there are a couple I must accomplish this year:
1) Exercise more.
I wasn't in great shape when I did but I'm getting really soft now. Turning fifty seems to have affected me more than I expected, both physically and mentally. I've moderately worked out for maybe 15 years in a row but my activity has become stale. I must pick it up.
2) Have more fun and really relax.
Due to the effects of #1, health problems my wife has been experiencing, and my impression that the world is going to hell in a hand basket; I've quit doing many of the things I've enjoyed over the years. It only makes me feel worse. So... more MST3K, more movies, more enjoyment of family and friends. Also more cartoons, music, and less news. What can I do about it all anyway?

Finish my book. It took me forever to start writing it, and now I'm determined to get this f***er done.

Sorry to read about your wife's health problems sky. My resolution is to stick with my diet and exercise program. Last year I was feeling crappy. My eyesight would suddenly go fuzzy, I was weak and lightheaded, suffered blackouts, etc. After much testing I found out I had diabetes. So I did what I've never been able to do - change my eating habits and start working out. Though I'd rather not have diabetes and I hate poking myself - and sometimes I could really, really kill for a couple of big fat custard filled chocolate donuts... I have to admit I'm much better off. I have more energy, I don't feel like hell in a hand bag. I'm in a better mood and I don't have dizzy spells. The only negative is that I can no longer do "Fat man in a little coat" (my dress coat is actually hanging off my shoulders) So sticking with it is my goal. Take your meds, maintain your levels, take care of yourself -- Do not weaken, do not give in to the greasy double cheeseburger with fried egg and ham, no matter how much it calls to you in your dreams.

Good for you, Tony! I know what it's like to hear the siren call of [insert bad for you yummy thing here]. You don't WANT a nice salad, you don't WANT to go for a walk, you want the yummy thing!
Look up some delish vegetarian recipes and keep on keepin' on!

I am 1/3 through writing a long, long family saga novel, and I'd like to finish in in the year....but I won't drive myself crazy with it.
I decided to try to quit drinking pop for a year, just to see. Driving me NUTS already (I started 10 days ago) but it won't kill me. When I read a scene in a novel where someone drinks a Coke, I start salivating and get all twitchy, making me think, hmm, I guess that hints at a true addiction.

Forgot to add, seeing the Avengers 15 times. And that's if the movie sucks. If it's as good as it looks, it could be well over a hundred.
I won't even go into how many times I'll see the Dark Knight Rises.

I will turn friends into enemies.
I will use self-loathing as a diet strategy.
I will unseat at least one dictator.
I will avoid the literal.

Write at least 50 scripts this year, read the bible from beginning to end, and try to lose a couple of pounds...I can't fit into some pants.
