I'm surprised there's no dedicated thread on this, unless I missed it.
I liked it as much as the Alien Factor, which up to this point has been my favorite episode. I thought that it loosed steam in the third act however, which I can't blame on the CT crew as the movie was just all other the place.
I'm also completely on board with the live format. Even with the couple of spots where they blew their lines. I thought it added a fun and spontaneous element to he proceedings.
Just got my copy and popped it in. What rock did they find this movie under? Just when I think they've unearthed all the most drivilous piles in human history, out pops another.
Oh well, yay for the first Japanese movie to hit the riff format since Invasion of the Neptune Men! Thought the riffing started slow but steadily got stronger as it went on. By the end, I was rolling. Good release. Wouldn't call it a favorite, but I'd rank it under East Meets Watts for best live release so far. Doomsday Machine still has my heart, though.
