This is a short I directed and co-wrote with some friends. It's a submission to a scholarship contest for the actress featured in it. It was a rush job for hire, but I and my partners tried to inject as much thought and enthusiasm as the time would allow. I tried using wordage, costume design, and character dynamics to illustrate the point of the piece. My collaborators brought their own insights to lighting, their performances, and the final edit.
Any feed back is welcome.

It is funny. The performances are a bit stiff, but it moves quickly and gets the idea across like a PSA. Remember to only hire licensed contractors to build your zombie barricades. Don't just use some electrical tape.

Thanks, Joker. The barricade limitations worked in our favor, because the point is it's a piece of crap built by an incompetent. Also, we needed it to give way when our zombie horde (two whole zombies!!) bust through the threshold. Our leading lady isn't an actress, and we had roughly one rehearsal right before rolling, so yeah, it could have been better.
Sadly, a handful of ideas didn't make the final cut due to the strict time limit of the contest. If you notice, our main zombie is wearing work coveralls and carrying a hammer. The implication was that the shoddy work of the contractor literally comes back to bite the husband in the ass, as he is now undead and busting through the very barricade he built.
