Wow, I agree, that was a surprise. She really did have a lovely voice. I remember going to see The Bodyguard on a double-date in high school and liking it. Sad to hear of her passing.
Rest well.

The first thought that entered my mind when I heard this news was "Kevin Costner failed at his job." Does that make me a bad person?
Regardless, the young age is sad, but I'm emotionally detatched from this news. She had a good voice, but I wasn't a fan.
And her tombstone will read "No longer waiting to exhale." Okay, I'm done with my tastelessness.

I'm actually not surprised. Even if she had actually kicked the bad stuff, the toll it takes on the body may still have doomed her to an early end. I hope it won't be as bad as when Michael Jackson died.
Still, it's very sad for her family and loved ones. She had a huge impact on music and I hope she gets remembered for that.
RIP, Ms. Houston.

I'm surprised and saddened; she was a terrific artist in her time.

It shouldn't come as a surprise, her addictions were no secret. But it's still sad.
My first slow dance was to "The Greatest Love of All". Thanks for the magic moment, Whitney.

Too bad, she was a good artist, and I liked a number of her songs. RIP

Surprised? Not in the least.
My prayers to her family and loved ones.
God Bless.
