Still not sure if I'll get to go or not. I'll be in Indianapolis for Gen-Con while it's happening, and I've got a feeling that a nerd convention in town will cause a nerdy movie event like this to be sold out before I arrive (and I won't have the finances to even attempt to preorder tickets until the day I get there.)
I know they say that there's only one chance to see it in theaters, but I really do hope that they'll do an encore show.

My lady and I are quadruple dating with mine and her sisters and their husbands. Should be a great time.

I tried to go to a theater showing, but my damn boss has been rejecting time off requests left and right. They wouldn't even let me off before 6.
Let me know how it is.

I and my roommate will be going to the showing in Auburn WA tonight. Look for the guys in the MST3K catchphrase t-shirts.

I'm leaving work in a few minutes. The theater is only a 10-minute subway ride from my job, so I'll have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat first.
This is going to be excellent!

So it was a treat to finally see the classic "Manos: The Hands of Fate" on the big screen, but the constant, how you say, "riffing," made it hard to appreciate the atmospherics of Hal Warren's deliberative, suspenseful directorial style.

Repeating my comment from mst3kinfo:
Plymouth Meeting, PA was 3/4 full. Audience seemed to really enjoy it! The Manos II guy was a surprise. Can’t say I’m excited for the sequel, but I like his Torgo. Really, I’m jazzed for the Kickstarter HD release. Anywho, great show!
That Norman *sigh* I really did think it was a educational film, until about halfway through when I realized it was just a kooky short film.
No mention of how “At Your Fingertips” is a nice connection to “Manos: The Hands of Fate”. Fingers… hands…
Whose heart lept a bit when they saw the Crow in the audience?

My posse and I had a great time, laughs abound. I just re-watched the MST episode a week ago to prepare myself, and I think they managed to improve on it by leaps and bounds. The shorts were good to, as usual. My theater was packed and everyone was on board the whole way. Can't wait for Birdemic.

My friends and I had a blast. The theater was pretty full, not completely packed, but there was a good sized crowd. The shorts were awesome, but I'm still trying to figure out the target audience for "Welcome Back, Norman".
Now for the movie. Matt, one of my buds, had never seen Manos. He was glad the riffing was there, or he would never have watched the movie. The riffs were good, and my sides still hurt from laughing.
Needless to say me and my buds are going back for Birdemic.
