It's that time of year again - time to get the brackets filled out! Thought I'd set up a board pool if people wanted to participate again. We've done it in the past and usually get a half-dozen or so. I've taken the liberty of setting us up at Yahoo again. It's a private group. Click the link below and select Join Group. Then enter the ID and password and start making your picks. tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/t1ID#: 96351 Password: hikeeba! Sky has graciously agreed to donate three episodes of everyone's favorite TV show to the winner! Good luck!

One thing I always notice about doing these brackets every year, is there's always that one freakin team that'll upset a 1-8 seeded team, and it'll make my picks pretty much down the drain. Hopefully this year my luck will change.

I'm notorious for lousy bracket picks. I'm sure I'll provide a healthy cushion from the bottom for all participating members

Great! Four is at least a nice round number Participants can sign up and edit their brackets right up until tip off of the first game on Thursday, I believe. Yahoo doesn't track these "pre-tournament" games going on right now, so there's still some time.

call me crazy but eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.....I'm thinking these play in games are basically going to be a "Winner gets to get stomped on by the number one seed" kind of situation.
As awesome as it would be to see a 16 seeder beat a 1 seeder, I don't think it'll happen.

Yeah, they'll probably be a non-factor. Personally, I don't see any good reason why they decided to make this a 68-team tournament instead of a 64-team tournament. I don't buy the argument that it's giving more teams a chance. Every team in NCAA Division I already gets a chance to make the big tournament - they're called conference tournaments. The only conference that doesn't have a championship tournament and an automatic bid for winning it is the Ivy League, and the NCAA gives the regular season winner of that conference an automatic bid, anyway. I don't know. I'm sure it's a big money-grubbing play. Makes the brackets look stupid, though

OK, tournament is underway and brackets are locked! Only five of us this year, but that gives us each a 20 percent chance of winning! I need Missouri to do well, which means they'll probably roll over and die in the first round My heart is definitely with Indiana, of which I'm a lifelong die-hard fan. It's also with South Dakota State. I actually graduated from their in-state rival University of South Dakota, but SDSU was the first DI program in the state and are now in their fourth year of DI status (USD will complete transition next year). Next year I'll be all about USD, but until then, I'm supporting the Jackrabbits. For South Dakota!

I too have Missouri going deep in the tourney. But if they do lose in the first round, there may be a party in the streets throughout the 757.
I got a ticket for the Sunday games in Greensboro. I hope to have a strong rooting interest in both games. I'll be pulling for Duke and whoever is playing UNC.

Well, one day in and already my bracket is bombing big time. Of course, it's the damn high seeds who decide to perk up and beat the favorites that kills my brackets every time.

I was doing great until Missouri crapped the bed. Fortunately, it looks like we're all in the same boat on that one.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand with Duke losing, my pick to win it all is now gone, and my bracket is essentially DOA. Just call me Last Place Larry at this point.

I guess I won't be seeing my Dukies play on Sunday after all. I'll just have to settle for rooting against UNC.
