Wow, that's a pretty cool find! I didn't know they even had the title cards as far back as season 1. I wonder if maybe there are other title cards for the early seasons that just haven't been found yet.

All episodes of all shows have title slates, we just don't see them on the air like we did for MST3K for that season and a half.
The date of completion is interesting, as it proves the episode wasn't completed until Feb 26, 1990, and thus, all earlier air dates listed for it are wrong. It couldn't have premiered any earlier than that date, and likely didn't debut until March 3rd!
