Has anyone seen this series before?
I got the pilot film they released on dvd a year or two ago and enjoyed that enough to track down a bootleg of the entire series.
It's not the greatest show in terms of writing. However, Michael Parks is fantastic as Jim Bronson. He's very low key, very subtle. I see now why guys like Quentin Tarantino and Kevin Smith are big fans of the actor.
Would love to see this series get an official release.

Yes I remember this series Shep. Even though it was on only one season 1969-1970. It ran in syndicated re-runs usually on Saturday and/or Sundays between the football games and the evening news in the early 1970's which is where I remember it from. The beginning dialog of the shows opening was even featured in MST3K EP 501 Warrior of the Lost World. I guess Frank really loved the show and remembered it quite fondly. I saw the pilot movie a few years ago on the Speed network and like you I have seen an episode or two via a bootleg copy. But not the entire series. I would love to have a DVD set of it myself and would jump at the chance to buy it.
Opening of the series that was quoted in EP 501
