I think its pretty safe to think that the content of the episode will remain unchanged. Shout Factory hasn't done anything like that before, and if that was an issue, then they likely would have chosen from one of the many other movies they could license. That's what I had been wondering about. Of all the titles they could have used from MGM, why would they have used one where they had to alter the title first? I'm hoping you're right. Maybe when TV Shows on DVD posts some news on the release they'll get a statement from Shout as to how far the retitling actually goes. They probably chose episode #508 for this DVD set to be released in the fall because the new James Bond film, "Skyfall", will be released theatrically at around the same time. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the 1st James Bond film, "Dr. No". It's really brilliant strategy and timing on Shout Factory's part when you think about these considerations.

That's true. I overlooked that since I don't follow Bond that well (though I've seen them all).
However one has to wonder how they intend to tie it in if they don't have permission to use the 007 title. Kid Brother is too vague, turning this "brilliant srategy" into "mediocre," in my opinion. MSTies would have already known the connection to the Bond franchise, but they were going to buy the set anyway.

Shout posted on their Facebook page that the episode itself will remain unaltered. We can all breath easy now.

Hmmm - well - I guess I'll have to wait for next year in order to get the episodes I'm hoping for...
422: The Day The Earth Froze... WHY hasn't this classic fan favorite been put on the top of the list? 524: 12 To The Moon... This episode was hilarious, and full of great humor from start to finish. 620: Danger! Death Ray!... Another great episode that never gets old.
Puma man? M'eh. I can live without it, but these three... These were gold, and it's annoying to see them keep getting pushed off down the line in favor of lesser episodes like most of the ones that were announced for set 25. Only one that's really any good was Double 007. Return of the Creature was OK, but they were still shaking out the bugs of the Sci-Fi swap and it was kind of forced. Plus, I just can't stand Mary Jo Phel. She was a poor replacement for Dr. Clayton "Firebrand" Forrester. Every host segment she's ever been in just makes me cringe and fast-forward.

I wonder what the release date'll be? This set would make great Turkey Day viewing.

My 2-cents on the OPERATION KID BROTHER/OPERATION DOUBLE 007 title issue: OPERATION KID BROTHER is the films actual title (it was released as OK CONNERY in Italy); it's also what all of the copyrights are listed under. OPERATION DOUBLE 007 was most likely an alternate title created for TV airings ("Hey, I wonder if that's a James Bond movie?"), and MST3k, being a TV show, wound up with that version. I could find no copyright listings for OPERATION DOUBLE 007, except BBI's. So, I highly doubt Shout! Factory is going to change the title card on the MST3k transfer itself; only the packaging will reflect the proper copyrighted title. EDIT: Someone got word from SF saying the episode won't be tampered with. So there, I was right anyway!

Didn't DC just rename the character Shazam once and for all? ... screw those guys. He's Captain Marvel! He was more popular than Superman once upon a time! Yeah, another fine mess perpetuated by the New 52. Between Didio and Queseda, who needs Wertham?

The extras sound MEGAWEAPON-AWESOME!
Looks like it might be worth it to order this set from Shout! Factory's website!

I believe "Hills of Death" is the short that was used in "Slime People".
Again what does this mean for Slime People's release likelihood?

Since it's bundled together with the others and not released on its own, it could probably mean not a damn thing. Intros by both Joel and Mike? Hell yes! I'm a little disappointed that there's only one movie-related feature, but since it's Revenge of the Creature related, I'm happy with the one they're giving us. Two life afters are nice. Josh certainly did a lot after he left, and I'm curious if Bill will finally speak out about Meet Dave. I think the last time he spoke out about it, he said he hadn't seen it yet.
