Dammit, I need to fix my camera. (The battery hatch is broken and I have to hold it really tight - not easy when one is trying to snap a picture - or tape it for it to make contact). Both foxes were in my yard and three snakes were under my wheelbarrow.

 A squirrel, a groundhog and a chipmunk walk into a bar...
(The chipmunk is in the grass a bit behind the groundhog). A closer-upper view This is a squirrel who frequents our yard. I call him Popeye. He has an injured right eye. (He also has a notch in his right ear, but I already named another female squirrel Notchie.) |

   These are sculptures made from phone parts (the "wool" is phone cords). They are
in the Museum of Communication in Frankfurt, Germany.

Tried to post another photo and of course it's gone once I post it. Why this has been happening over and over for the past year I have no idea. I'll just post a link to it here instead and see if that works. Somebody let me know if the link doesn't work although it does for me, for the moment. Anyway, I bought this ice cube tray today at a local grocery store and was amused to see it's both microwave safe and freezer safe. Good to know my ice will be well taken care of. |

Aargh. Wish I had my camera today. I was parked at the beach and a hawk flew right up to my windshield and almost landed on the hood of my car, then actually did land on the roof of the car to the left of me.

 This doesn't look like a supermoon to me, but here it is. Maybe I was viewing it at the wrong time, maybe I had to see it when it first rose, but I read that it was supposed to be visible at 11:33 EST and this was earlier than that. This is with my new camera I got from my sister for my birthday. I didn't have a tripod so it's not as clear as I would've liked. |

  Anyone know what kind of flowers these are? They just started growing in an empty pot by our fence. A bird or squirrel must've dropped seeds. Actually, there was one flower for a short time last year, then this year there's a whole bunch.  |
