The hometown Hawks, what a great finish. Man if they could play on the road as well as they do at home we might have something this year.
A good week overall, former hometown Titans upsetting the Steelers, the Packers actually playing 4 quarters and beating a top team on the road. It gave me the football warm fuzzies (at least for a spell)

Ray Lewis done for the year... Gutted Lardarius Webb done for the year, which is probably going to be a bigger issue for the D, feel so bad for the guy, last season and a bit he has been one of the top corners in the league after coming back from another knee injury.

Well, the Skins won, and i sat there all depressed anyway, for some reason. Me too, but I think it has to do with the fact I still haven't gotten over the Nats losing Friday night. And I'm also an Orioles fan. So RGIII and the 'Skins saved my weekend. But still, as Charlie Brown once squealed: AAaaaauuugh! Well, that was some MNF game. The first half one team played really badly and the other team was the Chargers. The second half one team played really great and the other team was the Chargers. I see a pattern here. How in the world the Chargers were ahead 24-0 at halftime is beyond me. I actually thought to myself at halftime that I wouldn't be surprised if Denver came back. I blinked and Denver was ahead 35-24. And that explains my thoughts on the San Diego Chargers.

And the Ravens come back down to earth with a thud.
But Suggs is back! Finally, a passrusher!

I cannot believe how bad the Eagles suck. They might as well not have an offensive line. Time for Andy Reid to go.

The Ravens raise hopes before dashing them next week in Pitt.

Anyone see the Vick injury in the eagles/cowboys game? The eagles did lose but their second-stringer seemed pretty good for going in cold and they'd mentioned Vick partially lost vision in one eye after his helmet hit it. Now I would never wish blindness on anyone (though if i WERE to wish blindness on someone, it would be Michael Vick) but it rose the prospect that this guy Foles might start next week and he looked pretty good, IMO, except for a couple turnovers, one of which was in a real high-pressure situation.
I strongly dislike Vick for the usual reason and don't think he should ever have been let back into the league. I'm hoping, frankly, for the end of his career and for Foles to be the new QB for the Eagles. I think that would be a good development for the franchise.

Jets D gave the Hawks fits early on, stuffed our RB, haranged our QB so that he looked like the short rookie he is... but eventually skittle (aka 'The Beast', aka 'Marshawn Terrell Lynch') wore them down. WR Golden Tate threw his first TD pass on a cool trick play. Dude throws like a girl but it got there for 6! And the Titans woke up. Damn, where has 'this' team been all year. Good week for my 2 home town clubs.
