I stopped at my local Toys R Us to waste some time over the weekend, and I came across an awesome looking This Island Earth Metaluna Mutant action figure that had just hit stores. The figure is a Toys R Us exclusive and was $15.99, and from what I can tell is only sold in stores at the moment. No online listing. I hit my smartphone to learn more about the figure and came across this photo-filled review: www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_091412a.htmWhat I found most interesting is that there is ANOTHER version of the figure out there that sells for $3 more and comes with a Interocitor! This version is exclusive to online retailers. Now I know the Mutant and the Interocitor are only MST3K related thanks to the MST3K movie, but the thought of an Interocitor to place next to Tom, Servo and Crow figurines is too cool not to share. Given how little merch is made from the movies featured on MST3K, and the fact that the Interocitor was remade as a prop for the host segments, I think it's a pretty awesome collectable. Here's an online listing for the deluxe version of the figure: www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DC81118#.UGB-DqQSSIQ(if this is the wrong forum to share this, my apologies. Wasn't sure if it was General news or MST3K related news)

This makes me wonder: what other characters from riffed movies would make for good action figures? Torgo and Master two-pack for sure. I'll bet there has been some merch for the Japanese movies, like Prince of Space surely had a figure.

I am certain that there are action figures for the Gamera series. I said a long time ago there should be action figures of characters from the riffed movies. Any of the monsters from the movies would be cool. I would love to see a 2 pack of Bella and Tor from Bride of the Monster.

Quick update! Went to Phila Comic Con a few days ago and found the Metaluna Mutant deluxe figure for $20 - now my shelf is a Metaluna mixer!
