The Flash: 'Kayyyy...so if Thawne (sp?) was winked out of existence, none of them should be there or remember what they were doing, or Eddie wouldn't need a reason to off himself in the first place, Barry's mom would still be alive, his dad wouldn't be in prison, Barry wouldn't be The Flash, even, at least not yet, etc. So, I'm guessing that wormhole is there 'cause the timeline's all screwy and they're still remembering the timeline that was Season 1 for the moment. If Barry can generate enough speed to eradicate the wormhole, then what reality will they be in? I'm getting from online chatter that there was another, earlier Flash (never read the comics) and that's whose helmet that was that flew out of (or was tossed out of) the wormhole. Interesting things should be in store for Season 2. Arrow: Happy ending? Oh, I don't THINK so.

I was re-watching The Flash from the beginning since they're re-running it. That villain that can replicate himself: His CLOTHES can replicate, too?

Watched another Flash repeat. When Dr. Wells goes into that room to talk to Gideon the computer and she/it shows him a future headline about the Flash going missing during a crisis, one of the other lower stories is titled, "Wayne Tech/Queen Inc. Merger Complete". Heh. Was that the writers' little wink about them throwing some Batman characters and story lines into Arrow?

Watching the repeats of The Flash until season 2 starts next week. Can't help but laugh when they're in the middle of something at Star Labs and someone invariably just WALKS IN. It's a high tech lab, don't they have, I don't know, SECURITY in that place? Especially with all the enemies they have.

Honestly, Star Labs was disgraced when the particle accelerator malfunctioned, and for the most part in the aftermath it seems as if their only actual employees are Wells, Cisco, and Caitlin. Not to mention they're the uber-cool secret base for Central City's resident superhero. Also worth noting that the prison they keep is illegal, hence why only few people are in the know.
So no, I don't think they have much of any security. Considering that Wells is actually ::cough::ahem::youknowwho, I doubt he really wants people who aren't necessary to his agenda snooping around. And in his arrogance he probably feels he can best handle any threat that might come his way.
EDIT: I'm actually watching the blu-ray of the series, and the fourth episode makes reference to Star Labs security being skeletal (which is how Captain Cold stole his freeze gun). It also branches out to say the place has janitors, although the rest of this staff largely remains unseen during the series.

^^^I didn't mean actual security guards; I meant, maybe they should have alarms, or friggin' LOCKS on the damn doors, at least, what were they thinking? But - I guess they read my post, 'cause they actually mentioned in an episode how crazy it was that people just walk in and they're beefing up security. (And then in walks the other Flash) tee-hee. I had the day off, so I wanted to do something "fallish", so I went for a drive to see if any leaves were bright. We don't really have good fall colors anymore, it's always too warm, the colors are muted. I went north to Millerton, NY, there's a stretch of road a bit further up from there in, Amenia? I think it's called, that has great views of the tree covered hills. It wasn't anything spectacular, the colors were muted, darn, disappointed. Anyway, I stopped in Millerton in an antique shop and they had old comics, and staring me in the face on one of the racks was a Flash comic from 1981, so I bought it just for the hell of it. There's an ad in it looking for kids to sell "Grit", heh, didn't Crow do a skit about that, only selling ACTUAL grit and not the newspaper? Should be fun reading this thing and seeing the old ads as well. Damn, I'm old. I can't believe something from 1981 is considered, well, OLD - that's MY time, damn it! (But, 34 years ago, sheesh!) The issue is no. 302, where on the cover it says The Flash has a thing for The Golden Glider (Lisa Snart). (It also mentions to see the film "Superman II").

Running for MAYOR? Did he do that in the comics? That's just lame.
And I don't like the fact that everyone thought Roy was The Arrow, and now Ollie's The GREEN Arrow, so, hey, no one will ever think it's him again. They should have just made it that no one suspected him of being it in the first place.

I'm still enjoying The Flash and looking forward to each week's episode, but they seriously need to breathe some life into Arrow, it's just not very good anymore. I'm really tired of the domestic drama with Oliver and Felicity, blech.
Does the actress who plays Patty on The Flash remind anyone else of Julia Roberts a little? Same kind of mouth (sort of).

I loved seeing Constantine on Arrow this year (forgot how awesome Matt Ryan was in the role), but it seems more of a springboard for other heroes lately with little actual progress given to Oliver. The whole Felicity romance just doesn't really have any fire. It's cute, but I don't have much invested in it.
On the subject of The Flash, I had misgivings of Zoom looking like a weird Wario version of Flash (or just the Reverse-Flash costume painted black), but godDAMN was he badass in this week's episode. I'm stoked to see where this storyline is going.

Why do all the actresses on Arrow suck? (And The Flash, too).

Because they're all desperate to portray STRONG WOMEN with no idea how to do it in a three-dimensional way.
I call it the Jennifer Lawrence Complex.

The other reason is what my sister and I call The CW Effect (formerly The WB Effect.) CW has this really unfortunate habit of getting really cool ideas for TV shows and characters, and then hiring models instead of actors. Every once in a while, the writing or directing on CW can overcome that, or you'll wind up with a model who, as it turns out, is also a decent actor, and in those cases the CW Effect is mitigated enough that you still wind up with a good experience. (I've been told this almost happened in Supernatural but that the main actors all either improved or received better direction or both. I've not seen it yet myself to figure it out, though.)
