i knew you guys would turn on my hyno-thingy. but i'll try it when i get home. it's going to crack me up if that was the cause for all the terrible words i've uttered since this has been happening.

One other thought, your signature image is an animated .gif. Those generally eat a lot of memory and can cause loading issues. Not saying that's it, but it might be worth changing it to see if that makes a difference. damn thank you for being right. it's running a lot smoother than it was. still not as fast as my work computer, but not nearly as bad as it was. maybe the hypno-toad won't be as bad.

though it ran a little better without my h'ween hyno-thingy, it still takes as long as two minutes to load a page. i feel stupid for complaining that i have to wait for two minutes for anything, but it's extremely frustrating. i upgraded with some new memory and hoped that would solve it. i installed it today and everything else is running faster, BUT the board remains slow as christmas. i give up. spackle suggested going to the proboards forum, which i did. i didn't see anything pertaining to my particular problem, but i posted a question about it and i'm hoping someone will help me figure this out. not to sound like seinfield or anything, but i'm really hoping it's going to be a case of an off/on switch that's not in the right position.
