Why should the elderly give half a crap about the future? Not like they're going to be around to see a lot of it or anything. They spend at least half a century screwing up the country, and all of the sudden they're worried about the future. |

I think one tends to worry more about the future and their legacy as one realizes they have less and less time to influence it.
