No one cares about NCAA football this year, I guess. Honestly, I haven't really followed it too closely.
But I feel like it's my job to jinx my Irish by bragging about being an honest domer. I even submitted my official request for bowl tickets today. Granted, even if they make it to the title game, Alabama will be hard to beat. They could probably take K State or Oregon, but Alabama would test even my faith.
So...who all hates the Irish? Go on, I can take it.

I have to say that I don't mind the Irish going to the National Championship game. My dislike of the team is due to the overexposure and upscale bowl bids unfit for a perennial 5-7 team. An actual winning season justifies the hype. For once. In the last 2 decades.
It's too bad that Ohio State is the best team in the nation this year.

As an Irishman I love the Irish! I don't follow the college game... with a few exceptions. This week offered one of them: The annual Apple Cup. We Easterners have a bit of a chip on our shoulders when it comes to our big sisters on the West (we sometimes feel ignored/under appreciated). So we take particular delight in seeing our Cougars beat the Huskies. Going into the game we were huge underdogs - and it looked bad late in the 3rd QT (down 28-10). But we mounted a stunning comeback in the 4th, which included a vital 2 pt conversion. An INT in OT (stupid pass... but thank you) lead to us to the wiinning FG! Eat it Westies!!

Ahem. I put my number in for the alumni ticket lottery. We'll see.

Coming from a family that's been Notre Dame fans for generations all I can say is I'm glad a Hawai'i player has helped to lead them back. And since our own Hawai'i team has sucked wind this year thank God for Notre Dame. I have a reason to watch the BCS title game for once.

Honestly, I've only watched one complete ND game this season. I'm not personally a huge fan, but most of my friends are fervent ND haters. So this is my chance to throw it back at them.

I've watched about half of them. I always work Saturday afternoon to night shifts and all those "prime-time" games happen when I'm at work. What I noticed was a great defense with an average offense. If they play Alabama; which I do hope happens because they're two of the most hated ie: successful college football programs in history and would be a great way to kill the BCS; in the BCS Championship Game the final score would probably be 10-6.

I've watched at least part of all of the games, and listened to the rest of it (as the Red Sox, no matter how terrible, take priority), and I wholeheartedly agree that the defense is better than the offense, though the latter has shown signs of brilliance.
The best part of Alabama winning the SEC Championship is that the fine tradition of "Catholics vs...." will continue with "Catholics vs. Satan".

Congrats to Johnny Manziel aka Johnny Football on winning the Heisman.

Well, that sucked. ND played relatively easier teams to get to 12-0, and it showed. Too bad. And they were supposed to win with defense, right? Ugh.

Sorry, but I kind of enjoyed it, if only because in the pregame show Lee Corso came out dressed as a leprechaun. That was just creepy.
