I've TRIED to watch NOS4A2 on AMC but it held no interest and I stopped watching because I don't care what's going on or what's going to happen. Epix shows the first few episodes of some of their original shows for free, and I watched the first 3 episodes of "Pennyworth". It's about the early days of Alfred the butler from Batman. That's his last name for those who don't know. It was pretty good. The actor they got is doing the same accent as Michael Caine did from the Batman movies with Christian Bale. He's actually more interesting than Batman. He doesn't need a cheesy cape and a million gadgets to fight the bad guys.

Anyone else watching "A Very Brady Renovation" on HGTV? It's a cool idea and they had to pull some mean tricks to get the inside of the house to actually look like the set, however: I weep for the ACTUAL 70's interior that they had to demolish to get there. That house was a time capsule all on it's own and they ruined it to get a FAKE retro look. Go figure. I wonder if they are going to make it an air bnb or something? It would be such a waste to ruin an actual 70's house and do all that work and not have it be used for something. I know they're having a contest for people to be able to stay there. Maybe they'll auction it off once that's done, but, to only have one person or family be able to enjoy it after all that? Hmm. Don't know what they are going to do.

It's pretty good, though it's hard to keep track of these groups and who's in what - The Crows and the No-Names or whatever they're called, can't even remember. The setting is weird. Sometimes it feels like Victorian times, sometimes like the '40's and sometimes like the '60's (most of the music is from the '60's). I guess it's just an alternate universe. (Well, obviously). Some things are kinda dumb, but overall it's good. And, this is really random, don't know where else to put this, but I really want a baby Yoda. (Mandalorian reference).

HBO was free this weekend so I watched the first four episodes of His Dark Materials. What a stupid premise. "Dust", "armored bears". Just stupid. I saw The Golden Compass a few years ago but I hadn't remembered much of it. Never read the books, maybe they're better.
I don't know, if people can write things like this and it becomes popular, why can't I come up with a goofy, idiotic premise?

I tried to watch the new Maggie Lawson sitcom "Outmatched". Coincidentally, it's on the same night as the show with her former boyfriend and co-star from Psych - James Roday (A Million Little Things, or whatever it's called - which I couldn't finish watching either because it was boring).
I got to around 2 minutes and I had to change the channel. Ick. They were just saying these lame jokes and the laugh track had the audience laughing hysterically at every third line or so, none of which were funny.
Just no. Shield your eyes, Frank.

HBO was free this weekend. I TRIED to watch the first episode of the third season of Westworld, but I just couldn't get past the first 10 minutes or so, maybe not even that far. Just don't care. It's too convoluted.

If anyone has the channel Comet, they are doing a marathon of Sliders right now.

Up on YouTube there is a table read of an episode of "Chuck" with the cast reading from their homes.

Hey, you got your House Hunters on my MST3K! And you got your MST3K on my House Hunters! It's two, two, two shows in one. Kinda.
In June HGTV will be airing "House Hunters LOL". Comedians will be watching past episodes of House Hunters from their homes and making snarky comments about the episodes.

I hear there is going to be a reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yuck. No way they can have the same effect in modern day mode. Why does it have to be a reboot with someone different playing Buffy? Why can't it just be in the same universe with a different slayer?
Also: Even though I couldn't stand Dawn, I always thought they should have made her a slayer. They made her with Buffy's blood or something, right? Her slayer capabilities could've been awakened when she got a bit older. I always thought THAT'S what they should have done as a spinoff, calling it, Slayer: A New Dawn, or something. I always hated that they kept Dawn so immature and whiny and kid-like. She was annoying as hell.

This is more like random streaming crap, but anyway: If anyone has Tubi they have MST3K shorts on there. (Not that you can't watch them on YouTube anyway).

I watched a documentary about the Go-Go's on Showtime. It was pretty good. I wonder why so many musicians are so screwed up and always seem to be suicidal or bi-polar or turn to drugs? I guess it's just that most people who have those tendencies or feelings turn to art and music as a way to cope. I put up a video of a new song they did on "now playing" on the music board. Not too shabby. They still have that certain something they've always had. What would you call their sound? Beach punk? It's not quite punk, not quite pop - well, sort of in-between. They could be singing about something serious or even angry, but still sound so up-beat and peppy. I've always liked them. I really wish Belinda didn't get her lips done. It LOOKS like she did, anyway. I know some of it is just aging, but, it just seems so many women get that same weird mouth look that make them look like trout. She was naturally pretty, she didn't need any augmentation. It just makes women look so fake when they do that. Anyway, I'm glad they are getting along better now.

Watched a five episode documentary on The Comedy Store on Showtime. I liked it. All the talent that went through there. Again, so many comedians seemed like they were suffering from depression. (And ended up doing too many drugs).
I remember watching Evening at The Improv a lot during the 80's and 90's. I know that was the rival. I don't remember there being a show that featured The Comedy Store, but I could be wrong. I think a lot of those "Young Comedians" specials that were on HBO were from there.
It was interesting history.

You can watch every episode from every season of Saturday Night Live on Peacock. I was watching it from the beginning, from the very first episode. I've watched about 5 or 6.
Hoo, boy, it really isn't as funny as I remember. At least not the very early ones. George Carlin was the very first host. He wasn't funny. (Maybe because I've heard his schtick many times already, so if I were hearing it for the first time, it might've been funny).
Jim Henson's Muppets have been on almost all episodes thus far, and they were horrible. (That weird kingdom with the weird creatures, if you remember those). Albert Brooks' short films were not funny.
Paul Simon was the second host and the show that had him on was basically a Paul Simon concert. There were no skits that I could remember, just a short film and some fake commercials. Art Garfunkel and Randy Newman were also on, so it was just basically singing throughout.
The musical guests basically sucked (not Simon).
I know they were just getting their feet wet at first, but, wow, it sucked. Heh. The only thing I laughed at were the land shark skits. That's always funny.
I'm coming up on the episode where Richard Pryor hosted. I'm pretty sure he did the Samurai delicatessen with John Belushi, so that might get a few laughs from me when I watch it.
Chevy Chase doing Weekend Update was not funny. (It might've been when I first watched it years ago).
So, pretty much so far: Not funny.
I know I liked it when it first aired, so when I see later episodes when they'd hit their stride I might find it more enjoyable.
Edit: Oh, yeah: Michael O'Donoghue: The forgotten Not Ready for Primetime Player.
