Ah yes...Alien from L.A. one of my favs. That was one I was hoping we'd see as soon as that MGM was made. The Magic Sword is another great one. I don't remember much about Danger: Death Ray, but I do remember liking it. Only one I'm kinda meh on is Mole People.

Best episode from the new batch is Danger!! Death Ray.
After the Universal and MGM boom of the last set, I rewatched all the Universal/MGM episodes to see which ones stood out. The ones on this set weren't them, but it's good to have them. Alien from LA is solid, though Magic Sword and Mole People only had their moments for me.
But I'll buy it. There's not a doubt in my mind I'll buy it. And I'll watch it religiously.

Not bad at all. The Magic Sword has been a favorite of mine so its nice to see that in there. Was hoping for The Leech Woman for the Season 8 Universal choice but Mole People is ok.
Danger! Death Ray and Alien from LA I have not seen before so I'm looking foward to checking them out for the first time.

YEESSS!! I actually shouted that when I saw that Danger!! Death Ray was included. I've been waiting for that one for soooo long. It's one of the few episodes I haven't seen and everyone seems to love it. For years I've held off on buying it from Sky/watching it on YouTube because it was listed as extremely likely on Travis' list. I hope it lives up to the hype!
I haven't seen The Mole People in 14-15 years but I remember being unimpressed with it. Still, I'm looking forward to another Sci Fi era release and one that I haven't seen since I was a kid at that.
The Magic Sword is mediocre -- I can never remember a single standout riff from it -- but the movie's pretty watchable so I'm fine with its inclusion. Neat Dragon.
I love Alien from L.A. I wasn't crazy about it initially but it's grown on me a lot. It's certainly not the biggest laugh riot of an episode The Brains ever produced but the film has a certain...dumb charm to it. How can you not smile at a film that has the frumpy girl's glasses coming off, revealing her to be a Total Babe? I also think the production team did a great job in realizing the subterranean city -- I found it believable and atmospheric. Also, I'm a big ol' sap and I find the ending sweet.
It's been quite a while since I've been this excited for an upcoming set. After two volumes in a row containing only episodes I already owned, I'm very excited to have something new to look forward to!

I really wish Wild Rebels and Sinister Urge got a rerelease under the Shout! Select label. Women of the Prehistoric Planet was what killed volume 9, right? So why not at least rerelease the other episodes that weren't problems. Unless they are...

So why not at least rerelease the other episodes that weren't problems. Unless they are... Actually, WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET shouldn't be an issue, since it's owned by Corinth Films/Wade Williams (who Shout! has released a bunch of titles from now)... it was Rhino who screwed that up (thinking Krypton International owned it). So it's likely we'll see it get a single-disc release at some point.

Good set. I loved Alien from L.A. and The Magic Sword, I liked Danger! Death Ray and I have never seen The Mole People, so I am looking forward to this set.

Like Ray says, Good Set. Like 'em all, and a good smattering for anyone just approaching the show, or turning someone on to it.

That was quick after the new release yesterday. Was hoping my favorite, "Incredible Melting Man would be on it", but oh well - these are some good choices too. I've only seen Danger!! Death Ray out of these though A good pattern were starting to see, finally two episodes from the beginning of Season 8 now -- always before there was that big gap between "Laserblast" and "The Giant Spider Invasion", Episode 10 of Season 8.

This looks like a great set. I saw Danger! Death Ray and The Magic Sword only once but I remember really liking them. I have not seen the other two episodes. I've got to get this set!

I'm a bit shocked to see how many people haven't seen these episodes (or only saw them once). Especially Danger!! Death Ray, which I consider the best of the spy movie eps and a top 10 necessity.
The Magic Sword is also a favorite, and The Mole People is John Agar and Hugh Beaumont bashing at its finest.
But I'm most excited for Alien From L.A. It's my least favorite episode of the bunch, but it's the worst fan-copy resolution in my entire collection. I can't wait to get a pristine digital version (even with tape hits).

Danger! Death Ray is the one of the four I've seen the least. It never really made that big an impression on me. The Magic Sword is the classic in this set for me.

I'm a bit shocked to see how many people haven't seen these episodes (or only saw them once)... A bit shocked...but also a bit envious. I remember that feeling back in the day when a 'new' VHS would arrive in the mail...ah, kids today. Enjoy, enjoy.
